Givin' me s#$t all last week and, as it turns out, all you are is just another one of those dyed-in-the-wool, bleeding heart jacka_$_$'s; dyin' to get people to buy more American-made cars! Go figure!

Scott, why do the U.S. auto manufacturers continue to put out garbage???

I'm just going to give you my review on some of my recent rentals.....

Dodge Charger '08..Crap!
Chrysler 300 '08...Crap!
Dodge Laredo '08...Crap!
Jeep Liberty '08...Boxy Crap!
Ford Focus '08.....Crap on Steroids!
Jeep Compass '08...Crap!

I do concede that the full-size cars had SIRIUS satellite radio. But, to me, that was just putting a cherry on top of the s$#tcake.

To be honest, the last decent rental I had was a Toyota Corolla; 4 cyld., FWD. Tiny little car (I suspect YOU would read:POS) but, tons of "get up and go", great mileage, room for four (American) adults, and a decent stereo. What else do you need.....12 cup holders???

FTR, why is the press saying "Ford begging customers to 'drive one'", "Ford can't build enough Focus', and now the "peek at the new Taurus"???? ALL WITHIN ONE WEEK!!!!!

Is it possible the U.S. media is trying to direct the populace to buy a Ford? Hmmmmmm.

If you don't believe me, people. Do the search yourself! You don't even need to leave Ohio.com .

Thanks, I will. As for safety, all I have to do is stay out of the way of knuckleheads like yourself in your gas-guzzlin' POSs.

By the way, typo in my last post. Apparently, the POS I am drivin' this week is a JEEP "Grand" Laredo. Regardless, it is still the "same ol' duck".

The toyoya corolla is a POS. the 2008 model first came out in 1999 in japan. its based of an older platfrom than the current focus. Hell even consumer reports is ify on the corolla. The corolla and camery are over rated. Toyota over rated. If i was one of you die hard import lovers i would go with honda.

I owned a toyota tercel and will never own another toyota again. Ive owned a couple of fords now and have had no problems great car.

Lastly I am glad Mazda and nissan where save from bankruptcy, compatition is good. I don't know why you domestic haters cant even at least hope GMC, Ford turn themselves around.

Sitting around hoping some of your countries biggest employers goes broke seems king of dumb to me.

Ha I call Bullshit, If anything there is a comspriracy to make people not buy domestic in the media. Just look at the consumer reports In there review of the focus, all they could do is go on and on about how the new focus isbased on a platfrom from 2000. Then you go read thier review of the 2008 corolla a car based on a 1999 platfrom. and all they say is the corolla is getting long in the tooth.
Many people have noticed how theses types of instatutions will over emphisize the domestics short comings while glossing over an imports.
A media conspiracy to Buy fords. Holy fuck man.lol

<quoted text>My family has had Escorts since 1988 and all have been reliable. My daughter's 1997 was totaled in an accident in 2003 and I credit that car with saving her life. She went and bought a 2003 Focus and it was a great car until totaled in a hailstorm in 2004. My younger daughter has a 98 Escort. Also, been a great car. 110,000 miles and just has had regular maintenance. Don't know what people's problem is...
Totaled in a halistorm huh? Sounds cheaper than i thought!

You know, having owned 3 Fords in the past, I really think they are not all that bad, I had an 88' Mustang, nice car and it only had a couple of minor trips to the shop, but it was actually a car i drove very hard, then also have a 96' Taurus SHO, another nice little quick car and I still have it, never a single problem with 150k and still going strong. And a 99' F150 which was also another nice truck I just traded in around 2006 to buy myself a Mazda3 sedan in addition to my Taurus SHO but overall, I think Fords are nice, GM cars on the other hand... not so nice...had a 95' Cutlass Ciera big pile of junk...
