LAS VEGAS: Ford Motor Co. CEO Alan Mulally showed dealers the yet-to-be revealed face of the new Ford Taurus sedan during a recent closed-door meeting.

The Taurus/Sable in their current iteration rank in the top 3 in the lastest JD Power survery. They were not beaten by Avalon or Maxima, it appears the only quality competition Ford currently has in this segment is Korean and American (GM).

The Taurus was always an excellent car. Ford should never have benched it. Ford brass has admitted that on many occasions over the last year.

Ford Escorts are rated as very reliable by Consumer Reports. They were always very affordable, too. My family has loved ours. The Fusion is now getting good marks from CR.

My family has had Escorts since 1988 and all have been reliable. My daughter's 1997 was totaled in an accident in 2003 and I credit that car with saving her life. She went and bought a 2003 Focus and it was a great car until totaled in a hailstorm in 2004. My younger daughter has a 98 Escort. Also, been a great car. 110,000 miles and just has had regular maintenance. Don't know what people's problem is...

I own a 2006 Ford 500 and my sister owns the same year Ford 500. Mine is a limited and hers is the basic model. We both love them. Unless you've driven one you have no room to talk! The only problem they have is bad advertisement. Blame that on corporate big boys! As for foreign cars made in the US you can keep them! Might be made here but the main money goes overseas. Start supporting our country not theirs!!!
