GM can rebound with a 35-m.p.g. pickup truck
America needs trucks. I'm not a carpenter, but I do haul sheets of plywood. I'm not a garbage man, but I do haul trash to the dump.

I have a 1979 F150 with a 4 cyl perkins diesel 236 from an old combine, and geared to run 60 mph at 1800 RPM. Gets 35 miles/gallon.
It can be done! They jsut need to put small high torque low RPM industrial diesels in a pickup. |

sounds about right. i do 70mph @ 2000rpm. except i get less than half that mpg. it is possible to create high mpg vehicles. we always get ourselves out of bad situations.
