Congrats to Ford on making it this far and still being at the top of the sports car market. Slowyota and Blonda can barely make it in the segment.

Ford in the sports car market? I don't think so. Maybe the muscle car maket but surely not the sports car market.
When Ford drops a 35mpg Mustang then we'll take notice, but we all know the days of the thirsty V8 muscle car are drawing to a close with new CAFE regs. |

Is that you Tom? Kern? |
Who knows, who cares.....but the poor bastard drives a G6 GXP so I already feel sorry for him. I think I'll rent one next time I travel. Surely they'll be on the lots. |

Yeah i know you baby boomers who back in the day used to get teased by all the kids who had muscle cars, andu couldnt afford them anyway. Im not saying all baby boomers here, just Truckin and hondata too.

Let's look at Automotive News Data Center January 2008 sales versus January 2007 sales for the Ford Mustang:
Jan 2008: 6545 Jan 2007: 9064 Looks like Mustang sales are dropping like a rock. It's time for a refresh, the retro theme has run its course. |
|
|
Retro Theme hasn't run its course,......People have decided to wait for the arrival of the Dodge Challenger (Retro)..... The Mustang was the only game in town,(American Pony Car) for 6 years,...Competition improves the breed,....Don't look back Mustang,..they might be gaining on you,....

DRIVE A FORD LIVE FOR EVER |

You drive a girly Tundra that gets 15 to 18 MPG and you chime in on a sports car thread a lay this stupid post on us???. The muscle car days are not even close to over. The Vette the Viper the Gt500, Ferrari's and Lambos all get sh-tty mileage, that's because they loud, produce alot of HP and they are fast!! But you probably like your little sissy celica.. |
|
One other thing I forgot to mention. If you don't like a icon like the American muscle car, then you have got to be a complete homo..For real, any guy that does not like the Fire bird, the Shelby the Camaro and the Corvette has got serious feminine issues.. |

Ah, you people are talking out your other hole here. For one Truckin has a Mazda that will put away just about all of the 60's and 70's muscle cars. Now I have a CRX that will do it as well, and still get 30 miles per gallon while doing it. Its a 13 sec car easy. Now I dont care what it is if you can make it go fast its fun. You guys think small imports are just gas misers. ah , I think not. Im not a ricer, I dont have stickers, and pedal covers or lights under my car. I just like to swap and change things out to make a better car. Its fun, you ever hear of a hobby? Changing springs struts and sway bars and slotted rotors make a change on a car. No different when I was a teen changing 4bbl carbs and highrise intakes on my Trans Ams, and later putting GT40 heads and H pipes on my 5.0 LX. its all the same, tune and make it your own. Now I use a laptop to adjust fuel and air mix. you guys are stuck in a rut. Get out a little, its not all about Novas and Stangs these days. Nothing wrong with those cars, its just no different in the end. Only you think it is......Hondata has spoken, I have the flu and feel like crap! |

Ignore trucking, he has no credibility on these forums. |

Roadrunner has already been exposed as a wanna-be GM worker. In reality, he's a GM brat....daddy retired long ago and he's hoping he'll keep his pension and GM won't bankrupt.

The real Muscle Car guy doesn't care if your 4 or 6 banger gets fantastic gas mileage,.. or if it is super fasssst,...Its all about the V8 sound...I don't want to listen to a Fart sounding machine when I drive around town....I had that after I visited a Mexican Resturant last night,...Long live the American Muscle Car...

The only sound you will hear when my 4-banger as you say goes around you will be a swoosh with a little chirp. all @ 9200 RPM's. the sound of a V8 kill. |
