Josh, I like to take corners at somewhat higher speeds. I want a QUALITY transmission and engine that can perform at extremes. I haven't found an "American made" car that corners or performs the way those foreign jobbies do. Again, this is my observation.
So you driven every car out there huh??. You problem is you don't have a clue..

I hope that all you "Buy American" people realize that Ford Fusions are made in MEXICO!!!! Meanwhile, the Toyota Corolla is made in the USA. Driving a Ford, or GM piece of junk does not make a good American. Many of these companies cars are made in Central America, and not in Michigan.
Wow..I hope you know that..

Ford, GM and Chrysler still make PLENTY of their cars here, all the trucks for Ford are made in Kentucky, and other Fords are made in Chicago. GM has MANY vehicles from Saturn, Chevy, Pontiac, Cadillac Buick etc. Built right here in the US. So are some Chryslers, Dodges and Jeeps.

And by the way, a Corolla does NOT evne compete with a Fusion, a Corolla is a COMPACT, the Corolla competes with a FORD FOCUS, and just so you know...the Focus is built in MICHIGAN!!

It is a crime that so many are fooled that Toyota builds cars in the US. It is a damn shame that people have no idea that Ford and GM build almost all of their cars here. People are much happier buying a Toyota that was most likely made in Japan. I guess everyone is much happier making Japan rich while we are all losing are jobs to these sneaky pan faces. It is just sad.

"If" you can read, that's a BIG "if" for some of you.

If you read the sticker on Jap crap cars and USA cars it is OBVIOUS all the parts for Jap crap comes from JAPAN!

German cars parts come from GERMANY.

Ford, Chevy, Dodge parts come from the USA.

All ya gotta do is read the sticker on parts content, engine and tranny.

One thing you don't need to read the sticker for is where the profits go from the Jap crap, profits go to JAPAN!!!

If you have any interest in fellow americans working and retired you would at least understand where the cars are made and where the profits go.

If you have NO CONCERN for fellow americns, well then I have NO CONCERN FOR YOU!

I hope your job is outsourced to Japan and you starve to death!!!!

People think these jobs Toyota offers are good jobs, well you better guess again, most are temp jobs with no future and even the better jobs are not much better. People better start waking up, this country is slowly being takin over, better wake up before it is to late.
you are so stupid, what does it have to do with the ford pickups?

Say what you want but I am a MAN who LOVES his TOYOTAS.

Are the American car makers blind. I have to say that the American car makers are improving very slightly on their exterior design but I dont drive my car from the outside…do you?
Why does ALL american cars have cheap feeling interiors? I went along with my husband (I'm gay) to test drive a Ford escape hybrid and I was literally laughing all through the drive. I heard wind noise coming from the back of the new car. When I looked back, the rubber window seal was flapping in the car…Come on~~!!! Take a look inside all of the ford cars and you will see they all look the same. whether you are buying a 10K car or a 30K car. Get some fresh new designers that do not design the same thing over and over from the 60’s 70’s 80’s. Form new partnerships with interior part vendors that produce solid interior products. AND STOP CHEATING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE BY THROWING OUT MARKETING SCAMS FOR POOR QUALITY CARS. AND HOPEFULLY, with Japan's help and Toyota we will have all Ford, Chrysler and GM out of BUSINESS!!! Face it Japan is more advanced than us, better than us and stronger than us, they are superior, we are nothing, which Is why I buy TOYOTAS all the time...

One thing you might consider is what part of this equation has the unions played in most of these companies having financial problems?

My Ranger was perhaps the most dependable car I ever owned. Too bad the RW drive was so crappy in snow, even weighing down the back helped very little.

I would like to provide a testament to the fine work that has taken place at both the Minnesota plant and the former plant in NJ building the Ranger. The company I work for has 18 divisions across the country. For the past 10 plus years we have exclusively purchased Ford Rangers for our Sale Support Teams (Merchandisers). Many of these units log over 40,000 miles per year and we run them until they hit 300K and then auction them off to the employees. We can typically get around $1,000 per unit and to my surprise many are resold for prices well beyond that. I can't speak for most of our divisions but the one I work at has never had engine or transmission failures during my 7 years on the job. The only thing that can take these tanks out of service is collisions that require more money than an insurance co. is willing to spend to repair a vehicle over 250K. I just hope that the global Ranger that will most likely be built in Louisville can live up to the fine reputation that the current Ranger has earned over the years.

Hmmm..then why does it say "twincities.com forum" on the top of the page, and why does the article originate in the St. Paul Pioneer Press? Which, to enlighten you, is a newspaper!
