thumping noise

i don't know whats wrong. i got an 03 and it seems that there is a thumping noise coming around where the transmission , or transmission crossmember is , but its only when i have defog on. something i should worry about?

It is most likely the clutch on your air conditioner. The defog uses the air condition to do the job. Nothing to worry about if that is the source.
