2002 Ford Focus radio signal problem

All,
I've got a 2002 ford focus with a 6000 SINGLE DISC CD PLAYER radio. I'm having problems with my radio reception. When I start the car the radio signal is fine for about 20 minutes, then it loses the signal and never comes back. The fact that the signal is good for 20 minutes, rules out the aerial and I don't live in a tunnel or cave. Is there a know problem with these radio models? Any help would be grately appreciated,

Hi, my husband is having the same problem with his radio on his mondeo. It is OK for about 15 mins then loses the signal. Can anyone help? Thanks

Mine started doing the same thing. I have moved it into the garage and it has quit. I am wondering if it is moisture related as I live in Washington State

I also have a '02 ford focus and I have the same problems as Jimmy Boy. Anybody out there that can suggest on how to fix this problem. Thanks.

I have a similar problem to those stated above with my '02 Ford Focus. Mine actually started when the radio wouldn't work with out the lights being on. Now the CD player works just fine, but the radio stations either don't come in at all or are extremely static ridden.

Me too. 6000 single CD radio, working fine from new 2001. Then yesterday, the radio just sounded like it couldn't get a signal on the way home from work. Now it's OK when first switched on but radio signal dies after about 10 - 15 minutes.
