<quoted text>I do stop shopping. I also do some research on things before I buy them. I know there are some things you cannot avoid, but if you relize that 80% of the companies in China are US companies. In the end you are still supporting US companies, we are just getting shafted on the manufacturing. And you can thank the government and OSHA for making it near impossible to do manufacturing in this country. Toyota comes in and gets the tax breaks. It is also funny that Toyota looks for Union builders to build thier plants. Because they want quality builders, but they run from the union to pay thier employees. Maybe that is why thier quality and reputation is fading away..
And why do you think those US companies are using Chinese labor? Fix that problem and you can fix many problems in the US.

Difficult to fix that when Chinese labor is pennies on the dollar compared to US labor. Then throw in NO environmental law and NO labor protection laws. US labor is TOAST!!

The only mitigating factor is the cost of transporting materials and finished product to/from China. Bring on HIGH fuel costs!

High fuel cost are only going to add dollars to our goods. If high fuel cost don't stop soon, everything is going to cost a arm and a leg. Just think Restraints, Retail stores, car sales, air line and vacations etc..are all going to suffer and possible go out of buisness. But they are not going to lose money they are all going to raise thier prices.
