A friend bought a new Honda last summer and the first day the clutch failed, then the dealer told him the handle falls off, and the gas tank cracks. Good luck with your Jap c- r- a- p. The next guy that don't let you in on a merge might be me, I offer that treatment to all Jap c- r- a- p-, LOL. OK. You've had your fun. It is was a treat playing this game with you, but you have yet to show me any evidence that any of what you said is true. You're just some racist stuck in 1941 who just will never get it. You want to talk to the guy with the Honda junk? He is REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE QUALITY!!! Especially after paying so much for the Honda name. ========== wtf wrote: <quoted text> OK. I have never said once in this thread that Hondas or Toyotas are all 100% reliable. No car is. I have owned American and Foreign cars. Some of them have had one problem or another. And for a while I was interested in what you were talking about. But the racist comments wore on me. So right now I really could care less what you have to say.

Well, interesting schoolyard banter. I'm more worried about the Chinese exporting to the US than I am about other items.
BTW, how come no it's OK for Ford/GM to build and sell in Europe, but it's horrible that non-US companies build and sell in USA?

I traveled to France a couple of years ago and the number of USA flagged cars was very very small. I would see maybe one a day. Fuel was $6 a gallon because of the tax rate on fuel. 90% of cars in France are mini cars, clown cars smaller than a Prius. People there are heavy users of very small cars (mostly diesel) and use the trains only when they must. France is much like Minnesota lots of country side only accessed by a car. Air pollution is heavy because of the use of diesel. ========== Skidd wrote: Well, interesting schoolyard banter. I'm more worried about the Chinese exporting to the US than I am about other items. Imagine how strong our economy would be if we could drill for domestic oil and have gas for $2.00 a gallon again.

I'm really impressed with you people who post stuff out here and forget it. You said everything I said was false, I offerred to provide a contact for the guy with the junk Honda. And then you say why would I want to talk to the Honda owner. I told you where I got my Toyota content info, cars.com and then you say everything I say is not true. Then you sign off by calling me a racist for using the term Jap and I must be out of the 1940's. YOU are cannon fodder for history repeats itself. Jap was common after the Japs blew away Pearl Harbor on sunday morning, without declaring war in a sneak attack. Then they committed horrible atrocities against US and other forces in WWII. And to top off they refused to surrender after one of their cities was vaporized an only after a second vaporization of a city they woke up and realized their EGO was a bit overblown and gave up. You keep buying imports and don't wonder why YOUR standard of living will be decending to that of China. ========== wtf wrote: <quoted text> No. I don't want to talk to him. Why would I want to? I don't care if people say I am a racist, screw Japan and all the other slants that exist.

Toyota has been closing plants and most that work at these places are "Temps". These are temporary jobs that when the going gets tough, they just let them go and most only last two years. I prefer this report from JD powers reliabilaty and problems list. Buick and Mercury and Caddy top the big three from japan yet again. Lincoln has also scored higher in years past. So keep supporting the JAPS while your so called AMerican Toyota is droping in quality and leading the recall list yet again.

Not that I want to wade in too deeply to this proverbial pissing match, but is this list per 100 cars or per 1000? Also, amongst all the hate being slapped about, I'll take this opportunity to remind you that lexus, the #2 on this list is the luxury division of Toyota Motors. And Oldsmobiles are no longer manufactured as of 2004. And that before you get all uppity, Mercury being a part of FordMoCo is influenced heavily by Mazda. My Mom's American Apple Pie Merc Tracer/Ford escort is really a repackaged Mazda protoge. Truth be told all 3 of the "big three" now have shares/stakes, and technology exchanges with foriegn auto makers. Without such diversification, Chrysler would have already gone the way of the dodo. Ford with Mazda Chrysler with Mitsubishi(past) Daimler AG(present) GM General Motors with Suzuki Motor Corp. and Isuzu Motors Ltd. of Japan, advanced technology collaborations with Toyota Corporation and DaimlerChrysler AG and BMW AG of Germany and vehicle manufacturing ventures with several of the world's automakers including Toyota, Suzuki, Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp. of China, AvtoVAZ of Russia, Renault SA of France, and most recently, UzAvtosanoa of Uzbekistan. GM also had collaborations with Fiat S.p.A (see GM/Fiat Premium platform) and Ford Motor Company. Just sayin.
