Has Toyota Finally Got It Right For The Tundra?

Tags: Twenty-six summers ago I arrived in San Antonio, Texas. I quickly surmised that the pickup truck was River City residents' favored mode of transport - " preferably with an occupied gun rack.

I wouldn't count on it. A majority of red blooded american males are loyal consumers. They realize grandpa fought in WW2 and they don't see any reason to turn over the reins to the foreign corporations. That's why Harley Davidson, Smith & Wesson and John Deere will always have a place near and dear to their heart. Women don't seem to be as true blue to american ideals, but as long as real men buy their trucks, Chevy, Dodge, Ford and GMC will always have a place in the driveway.

..........Carman you have to consider the tundra is built in west texas and thier are a lot of "wet backs"that live there so they could be a big buyer.Iam sure GM had a ad spot on durring the super bowl were they targeted the "wet back"marketso iam sure gm maybe concerned that they could lose this huge market.Think about the market you have 20 million "wet backs" and if 3% buy Tundras that would be 600,000.Toyota may have to build another plant just to keep up.

Carman, That will be the problem, You will have Chevy, Dodge, And GMC sitting in your driveway, While i am out driving my Tundra, I have owned Chevy, Ford trucks, I have never owned a Dodge truck, And i can tell you, there is no better piece of mind, Than having "Reliability" , Not to mention 281HP under my hood.

I think the Tundra is great, Toyota Tundra blows everything else away, I only had one pickup in my entire life...a 1988 ford f150 but I don't have one anymore, but I think they can really put the heat on the domestic brands, toyota is doing great so far, even though I have a BMW X5 with a 4.8L 355 hp V8...
