I recently purchased a 1995 F250 for a price well below book. I suspect it's because the front end needs work, like ball joints. I can feel a rattle through the floor when I go over bumps. Anyone care to make a prognosis?

The Ball joints on this Truck are trash. My 2004 has less than 40k pampered miles and all 4 need replacement at the tune of $1,200 dollars. Ford will NOT do anything to help me. Dealer said at 80k I will need to replace again. Buy a different Truck.

I have an '04 also with a bad front end rattle....I now have 60000 miles and have been putting up with this for a while.....my front tires are badly cupped.....would the bad ball joints create this problem?

Just replaced uppers and lowers on my 02 250 -$1,200 @ 112,000 miles. My 4x4 gets used in my lawn business and pushes snow.
Am now getting ready to replace sway bar bushings @128,000 miles.

Tire wear will usually show up as inside tire wear if you ball joints are bad. Cupping comes from tire chatter which might be shocks or bad tire balance.

Yep, I just replaced the left front sway bar link on my 1996 F250 SD and that fixed the rattling felt under the floorboard. Easy fix for $30.00.

Check the sway bar link on the side that is rattling. It's an easy fix for about $30.00. My 1996 F250 SD was doing the same thing - rattling through the floor when going over a bump.

if the rattle is in your floor boards then its your stabilizer bar links. I have done ball joints on my 04 f250 twice in 100,000 miles.
