GM puts brakes on truck overhaul

DETROIT: General Motors is indefinitely halting a major overhaul of its full-size pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles as it deals with a drastic drop in their sales.

I, for one, will not be sorry to witness the extinction of the gas hog, carbon spewing Brontomobile.

Nothing beats being tailgated by some moron in a gas hog, and being nearly rear - ended at stops because the fools driving them don't realize how fast they are going because they sit so much higher off the ground than a car.

Yes, but to me, it's like driving a school bus every day....but then again, I drive a Honda Accord. I do alot of driving every year, and I'd be crazy to own something larger....

Anyway, their future is very bleak, and if gas goes higher, and more gas stations force customers into "Cash Only" transactions, those things would disappear wholesale....

people who whine about high gas prices clearly haven`t travelled much,most places around the world have been over $5 a gallon for decades....

Yep, it's official now, you are a nutcase.

Your cause and effect analysis on this one clearly identifies how clueless you really are. You probably get tail gated because you hog the left lane in your import like some self appointed traffic cop. Pay attention to the road and show some courtesy to your fellow man by getting out of the way and you'll not have to worry much about being tailgated.
