My shocking surprise? Having a bill (from a different place) for $300.00 for a TUNE UP. I know these places have to make money, but sheeeeeeee!

Sounds like All Tune in Lube does not do background checks before giving someone a franchise, maybe they should start. Its a shame people take advantage of others, and there are many, you really need to be careful who you get to do work for you, and the BBB is not the only source, ask for references, and CALL the references, and check how they not only liked the work, but the person who did the work.

Perry will go into prison as a 1st class crook and he will come out the same way. Stealing & lying are a way of life for some people.

I went to this guy one time with a transmission problem. He estimated 3G to fix it. I felt the estimate was out of line.

I took it to a man on Pembroke ave and fixed the problem for 2.95; simple pin in the linkage.

For what it's worth, I have dealt with Poquoson Auto Repair over the years and have always been satisfied. Also, Airport Exxon/BP on Jefferson Avenue has always done me right.

How the he** did he get a franchise when he had already been in trouble with the same company less than 10 years earlier?
and how did he continue to stay in business when all his clients were suing him in court?

It seems Tune and Lubes have always had reputation problems. I went to one years ago, had something fixed I wasn't familiar with, seemed high but I needed it done. Then I found out from another place it would have costs half the amount Tune and Lube did it for. This place is still operating on Jeff Ave near Lowe's. I found a great machanic after that and have been going to him ever since.

This is a bad situation. I am a decent diesel mechanic, and a fair mechanic overall. I don't believe BBB or anyone else can prevent this type of rip-off. I recently took my car in for speedometer repair, in addition asked for oil change in transmission. The clerk highlighted SPEEDOMETER REPAIR. When I picked it up the speed. had not been checked, and the bill was over $369.00. The engine light was on, and had been since I bought the car, and had been repaired so many times I can't count. I told them not to fix that, I could do it myself, but they did anyhow. A real rip-off. I won't be going back, and in addition I'll tell everyone I know about their service.

The same exact thing (getting ripped off for repairs) is happening to me now with Mr. Transmission. I can honestly say they will never work on anything of mine again.

I always take my car back to the dealer I bought it from, Hampton Chevy on Mercury Blvd. I know getting work done at the dealer is out of some people's price range, but for those who can afford it, they have always been fair to me. I have never had a problem or felt I was being cheated.

I took a car to Denbigh Transmission years ago to fix a slipping automatic transmission. After charging me about $1500, we soon found that they had forgotten to put back some housing bolts which caused transmission fluid to leak; they even left a socket still on one bolt and somehow punched a HOLE in my oil filter, which would have killed my whole engine before long.
I don't know if it was intentional sabotage or they are just that stupid. Be warned.

I went to All Tune and Lube a few years ago and they left a cap off of something ( I forget) & so I went right back to them (the same day) and they said it was never there and thay hadn't touched it. I knew they were lying but I didn't want to argue. I had to go to the dealership to buy another one and it cost about $30 bucks. That was the first and last time went to them.
P.S. I feel really bad for the people money and credit they damaged...fixing your credit can be one of the hardest and most fustrating things ever.

This is a good example of how non-violent crimes can really hurt people. Keep the guy locked up for a long time! Maybe there should be a "consumer offender" list that requires people to register and can be accessed nationwide.
