2005 Sport Trac rear window

I have had an intermittent problem with the retractable rear window since I bought the vehicle used with 13K miles. Sometimes when the window is in the vent position (1 1/2 inches from the top} it will not go to theclosed position. When I rotate the close control the window goes up and reverses to the full down position. From then on it will always go to full close nd back to full open even through I am holding the control in the closed postition. There must be a pressure safety switch controlling full close position but I don't know where it is. One time I took it to a dealer he said it had corrected itself and he couldn't find a problem. Anyone else had this problem/

haha yeah man the same thing just happened on mine. The rear window is just cheap and weak and and/or it might be hitting something on the way up. try to flip the knob and help the window on its way up with your hand. It should close it!!
ps. yeah you need your girlfriend (or mother) lol to help you with this one.....

its not the switch.....
