my 2004 expedition body trim (gray) started to fade last year. it has now faded to an white ashy color.
the car is out of warrranty, can the trim be spray painted.
or, I have seen other expedition's with the same problem as mine. possible recall?

I have a 03 same problem went to them 2 months after warranty expired and they wont fix it. Now you know they have thousands in a warehouse somewhere, just send me the part and I will put it on myself, but they wont because of 2 months even though I have half the mileage of the warranty. I told them its been fading ever since I got it , not like a part that just broke, Im dissapointed that ford knows about a problem and wont fix even a simple one like trim parts.

My 98 Ford Expedition won't respond to the automatic key. I can't open the doors with the regular key, either. And guess where the hood release is? On the inside of the vehicle! Yesterday, the battery light on the dash went on - thought I could take it in to get it serviced today... When I called local dealership, they were no help- just told me when I get the door open and the vehicle started I could bring it in for a diagnosic! Any body had this happen? Any solutions or suggestions?

My 2004 is doing the same thing...is there any solution other than replacement? I also feel that Ford should do a recall.

Automotive International and GM engineers have determined , due to the internal release agents, a material that is used in molded TPO plastic, both grey and black, that it is not possible to " paint" the parts and produce a suitable finish. The continuing emitting of release agents will cause the paint to peel. GM reccomends Armor-Dillo TS1. TS1 is a long lasting wipe on product that will never peel, and will correct "streaking", and fade.

Clean them with warm soapy water.
Get cans of Plastic Prep which should be in the spray section with the trim paint, at Pep Boys and the like.
Seal with plastic prep, then use the trim paint, and it should last you a good 3-5 years before it would start to fade again.

The same thing happened to mine. I spray it monthly with tire gloss spray. Just be careful to not let it drip on step as it will get slippery

Use Armor-Dillo TS-1 to stop fade and zebra streaking on you Ford Expedition. GM testing results show than TS-1 when applied 2-3 times a year will permantly preventchalking/fade issues. TS-1 is user friendly. Simply wipe it on and wipe it dry. TS-1 restores the original color of TPO black/grey plastic to a dry like new condition. TS-1 no slip is safe to use on running boards.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Libra

An emotional situation is as clear as mud today. You aren't sure about your feelings for a certain someone, nor are you convinced that you know what they're playing at. They may be saying one thing and doing another, and you might even suspect that they're playing games with you or trying to get what they can out of the relationship. Or maybe you're imagining the whole thing? Admit it - at this stage you simply don't know.
