My 2000 Expedition began running rough = spittin n sputtering. Fuel pressure was significantly low. Installed new fuel pump. Helped quit a bit but was still missing. Replaced the plugs and #3 showed a misfire. Took #3 plug and put it in #1 and visa versa. And yes my problem in 3 moved to 1 and I replaced with a new plug. Wow great difference. However, I am still spiitin n sputtering. Any suggestions!? Should I start replacing my coil packs or what?

I'm not a mechanic but do have to ask if you are sure it is electrical? I had a similar problem on my 2004 expedition and looked for the simple first. Idle was very rough - had to keep the rpms up with the pedal. Operation was rough. If this sounds similar, check the vaccum hoses for leaks. Take off the pretty cover that hides the engine and throtle body. Move the vacum hoses up and down to find a leak (probably the one on the left side where it joins the throtle body. Replace it with heavy wall tubing and not Ford vaccum hose. Fix lasts forever. I'm not offended that I have an engine so I left the pretty cover off.
