So I love my expedition, runs great! But I have a question. Sometimes sitting at a light or when I put it the vehicle in Park there is a noise coming from the passneger side. If i've put the vehicle in Park and shut it off it will contine to make the noise. The noise usually last around 10 seconds. Can someone shed some light on this issue for me.

If your ford is equipped with AIR SUSPENSION that could be it, but it usually comes from the back not the passenger side. Next time it does it pay close attention for any up or down motion in the vehicle, it could be hard to notice though. Good luck

Yes, that noise is the air compressor for your truck's air ride suspension. The compressor can come on even if the vehicle is off and the key is removed.

If the sound is like a low growl, it's probably the airbags leveling the truck out. I have an 01 Expo and it does it all the time. No worries

Did you get any answers to your question? The compressor on our 98 expedition went out this week. The rear end is sagging so bad you can't even go over a bump. If you had to take it to be fixed, did it cost a lot?

The compressor went out on our 98 expedition this week. Has this happened to anyone else and it is expensive?
