How does one get to the REAR sunroof drains to blow them out? Are they little square holes about 10" in from each side along the back?

Try going to http://www.andresroofing.com if you need help finding a West County roofing company. They do great work.

I have a 2003 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer. I has been leaking out of the air went on the passengers side, around the DVD player, and all most of the areas that other people are talking about. I took the care to the mechanic and had him that the headliner off. He called me the same day and said that there is about 10gallons of water collected in the headliner, the water is coming in from the improperly installed track on the sunroof. I was wondering if anyone else had that problem, I called Ford motor company and filed a claim. If there are people out there that have the same kind of problem please call form company and file a complaint. I was informed by their rep that it other people complain the company can do something about the problem.

I have a 2004 Xlt that occasionally leaked from hand hold on passenger side but yesterday after some heavy rain I heard a wave of water in the ceiling when I backed up. I statred leaking out the driver side visor atttachment onto the seat and floor. My immediate thoughts after probing around outside is leaking around the windshield where the rooof grooves meet it...

My 2003 Expedition roof also leaked, water dripped down the driverside window handbar and the leftside of the sun visor. I had it repaired in 2007.
I was told it was the seal in the luggage rack. Here I am in 2010 and started leaking again, Ugh!
I am having the same problem and ford dealer say it will cost $3,000.00 to fix my roof on my 2003 ford expedition .
my question dealers are saying you must polish to top of your suv that what the problem for this rust...bull shit this is ford motor co . rip-off the people period .

i have an 03 Expy E.B., it started raining really hard and I had about a 1/8" stream of water flowing out of the driver side middle row over head light. Turns out there are a total of 4 drain's for the sun roof, 2 in the front corners of the well that the sunroof sits in when in the closed position and 2 in the back by the center of the back doors. if you pull down the head liner, you can see it. mine expy is green, and so was the drain hose.. its kind of hard to see, but if you look hard you can see it. these drains (all 4) seem to have problems getting clogged up. my passenger side front one was clogged... no water would drain down that hole. To unclog it, simply blow air (from a compressor) down the hole until its cleared of debris. you will know because these drains lead to underneath the vehicle by the running boards. The front ones drain by the front of the running boards and the back drains by the back. make sure to park your vehicle to where gravity pulls the water to the drain you want to test. yes its a pain, but better than paying ford or a dealer $500 to tell you it was clogged up. Hope this helps you!!
You are correct and I appreciate your assistance.

Replace the windshield ASAP! The windsheild "glue" that they used is an inferior product. Replacing the windshield will fix the problem and save costly electrical problem
I had the same problem ..I changed the windshield and it stopped,,they show me the old windshield and told me the problem was that it had hardly abty glue.

The leak is due to the drains on the luggage rack being clogged. Once this is cleaned out the leak will stop. The bad thing is that it will clog up again. I have a 2002 Eddie Bauer and the headliner has been out at least 7 times and it started the month I bought the car - new.
I have just purchased a 2003 expedition EB and have already had what seems to be common issues with these vehicles. We recently had a lot of rain and I noticed water coming from my top ceiling console. I know this is a common accurance with expeditions that have sunroofs but I have no sunroof. So is there a pic or vid to see where exactly these luggage rack drains are?
