The 2012 Nissan Leaf SV has an MSRP of $35,200 and the SL trim will cost $37,250, which is $3,530 more than the 2011 SL trim

The price will also raise by €2,151 in the Netherlands on March 1, making the new price €37,141, and prices in Ireland and Portugal are "currently being reviewed."

So, in the US, it will cost $37,250, whilst in Europe, it will cost €37,141, which equals $50,830.

I won't be buying one any time soon at that price.

Nobody is forcing you to. And I am not sure what kind of car you can get for what you are willing to pay. A VW 2.0 TDI diesel would go for about $50k. Cheaper? China is going to come out with a cheap car soon. You should wait. Not sure about quality but it should be in your price range...

That doesn't surprise me, specifically because you don't know what I'm willing to pay, do you, Mr Undoubtably Spelt Fourty?

TDI signifies diesel, Mr Undoubtably Spelt Fourty, and a VW Golf 2.0L TDI is priced from $23,995 to $29,165.

You're behind the times, as usual, China has been producing cheap cars for years.

Couldn't wait, bought an Opel Astra 1.7 TDI last week.

I was quoting the Passat. I assumed you would want to compare a mid-size with a mid-size, instead of using the faulty logic of comparing different sized cars.

The rest of your rant isn't worth addressing.

it doesn't matter what you quote, you're rarely, if ever right, Mr Undoubtably Spelt Fourty.
