Dear Greg: In July 2007, I purchased a 2001 Dodge Neon at Discount Auto Smart for a poor friend who needed transportation to go to work.

Amazing just how stupid some people are. Must be the great public education provided by our government schools.

I just bought two 1-Gig memory sticks for my new laptop, and I paid $27 for each of them. I guess there's tons of people out there that are void of any technical knowledge. A lifetime warranty for memory doesn't really benefit you that much since memory rarely fails anyway.

I mean, for $672, she (I'm assuming female) could have bought a whole brand new computer for that..

The propensity of Vonage for charging credit cards after account cancellation is not exactly news. I was an early subscriber, through the rough days of rather poor connection quality, finally arriving the time the service was excellent. However, customer service was appalling and finally got to the point that I cancelled. They billed me for two months after cancellation.

Depending on the type of memory that was purchased five years ago this coud have been a good deal or a bad deal. If it was "state of the art" DDR2 memory then the current cost for two 1 gb sticks is slightly under $40 for the pair. If it was what is now obsolete Rambus memory then 512 mb sticks are now going for upwards of $200 each.
Over the last two years memory module pricing for currently used technology has dropped to ridiculously low prices and whereas we used to sell computers with 256 mb or 512 mb of memory as the standard 5 years ago we now offer 1 gb and 2 gb as the standard and in some case even offer 4 gb as the cost is now less than what a 1 gb stick was 2-3 years ago,
The other issue is that in almost all cases no money should be put in to a five year old computer. Moore's law shows us that computer technology basically doubles every 18 months this means that in in 5 years the technology has doubled more than 3 times and the machine is functionally obsolete. With new pc prices starting in the $300 range--we recommend replacing systems every 3-4 years.

look at ripoff.com for tons of complaints about Vonage and their tactics. This has been an ongoing problem with Vonage for years, that they continue to bill after cancelation.

This is why I never pay with debit or credit card with my bills. It is money orders or checks.

What on earth would make you think a person named Andrew is a she? Is it perhaps because you're a chauvinist who assumes that women have inferior knowledge of electronics? Or is it just that you can't read or pay attention to details because you're a man?
