Although I do try and cut down on gas consumption, almost half really, I could never go for a month and keep my job.

I am doing the Drive less denver challenge. Because I work and live downtown it isn't too hard... seeing the gas prices is making the challenge easier!!

Why is it that politicians and celebrities always insist on making everyone else (ie poor, middle class) make sacrifices to save the environment?
How bout the story of the CEO or Exec or Senator or movie actor who gets rid of his car and bikes to work for a month?

That is true, and you do have a point. A lot of movie actors, and people in high places with money, are using hummers, and limos, and wasteing this earths resources. Yet we middle class or poor people have to drive less? Why don't they walk down to the place where they are shooting a movie, or having a meeting?

Denver has such bad mass transit that it would take about twice as much time each way to get to and from work. It also would cost me more than filling up my V-8, which I would have to still use just to get to mass transit!!!

What is the POINT!!!! And on top of all that I still have to pay a RTD TAX!

That is a great idea. It saves money on gas. My dad pays over 100 dollars to fill up his truck all the way. It would be smarter to just ride a bike
