CRAZINESS! DOES ANYONE HAVE A CLUE WHAT I MIGHT CHECK OUT ON MY CAR FOR THE FOLLOWING ISSUES THAT ALL STARTED AT ONCE AND IS NOT CONSISTENT.

MY SPEEDOMETER WILL QUIT WORKING AND THE CAR WILL ACT LIKE ITS BEING DRIVEN CROSS BETWEEN NEUTRAL AND 3RD GEAR AND RUNS AT ABOUT 5 OR 6 RPM'S AT 30 MILES AN HOUR--AS WELL AS THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW WILL NO LONGER WORK AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. IS THIS CRAZY OR WHAT. SOMETIMES ALL OF THESE THINGS HAPPEN SOMETIMES ONLY ONE OR TWO OF THESE THINGS ACT UP AND SOMETIMES NOTHING. DOES ANYONE HAVE A CLUE OF WHAT MIGHT BE WRONG? IF IT'S ONE OF THE 3 COMPUTERS ON MY VEHICLE THEN WHICH ONE?

Body Control Module sounds like the problem... note: The BCM has to be programmed to work with your vehicle's computer.

I had the same problem and it was a censor in the transmission. The part is less than $5 but I'm not sure how much the'd charge to install it. i had my cousin put it in.

I have a 2000 dodge stratus se 2.0 The lights on my console shifter dont always come on when i turn my lights on usually after driving for a few min they will come on. Sometimes while driving they will go on and off . I am assuming its a loose wire but how do i find out where the loose wire is at? Also i dont know if this could be a related problem but when i first got the car my driver side passenger side window worked fine. Then it started working sometimes and others not. Eventually it stoped working completly. All adive is appreciated. you can e-mail me at [email protected] if you would like

I own a 2000 Dodge Stratus 4 cyl, front wheel drive that has 73000 miles on it. The problem that I am having and I can't get rid of is the brakes squealing when stopping. Can anyone help me on what I should do, replace or who can I go to that would fix this problem?

Thank you!

I have a 2000 Dodge Stratus 4 cyl, front wheel drive with automatic transmission. I was driving to work around 35-40 mph and my car jerked really hard (almost to a stop) and the check engine light came on. I stopped and then started to drive car and it feels like I am in 1st or 2nd rmp's running twice as high and transmission does not shift anymore. Does anyone have any ideas? I have had the car for two weeks. I actually got it for my son and I decided to drive it for a while to make sure everything was alright with the car.

yea its your iac which is valve idle air control which is located on your trottle body on the motor if its bad you can ride down the road and your rpms will go up real high and make your transmission down shift real hard and cost your car to jerk and slow down while your car wines down and your rpms to go real high like in the 3000.

I'm about to buy a 2000 Dodge Strattus with 97,000 miles on it. From what I've read, it probably isn't a great idea. I hear about head gaskets going, and engine fires. Maybe I need to look elsewhere...

I bought a 2000 Dodge Stratus 2 years ago and recently it began running rough...almost like a misfire. Gave it a thorough look and it seems oil is getting into the 2nd port for the wiring harness (4 cylinder). Anyone know why this happens?

I have a 2000 dodge status v6 - 142.000 miles-Electrical problem. Checked fuses - horn does not blow, lights on dashboard and rear ligts will not come on. Replaced horn fuse and all the above worked, then the car would not start.I was told I may need a body module. It is a short somewhere. Please help.
