Rear Air conditioner - factory or aftermarket?

Any thoughts on an auxiliary air conditioner for the Sprinter. I want to be able to run it while driving as well as off electric when at a camp ground. I assume the factory rear air won't run on 120 volt dc. Any ideas? Thanks... from a rookie.

I installed a 13,500 BTU Coleman in my 158" WB, high roof Sprinter. I can run it while driving with my Yammy 2400 generator, which is hitch mounted in a cargo carrier box on the rear.

Nah... I want something that'll run right off the Sprinter diesel and off dc.

I would check with a local auto a/c service company.A saw a conversion last year in Tampa that extented lines to the rear of the truck.It was mounted inside the vehicle just inside the rear doors.It did not take up to much room.I am looking to purchase a sprinter this coming week and will also be on the hunt for this.

I bought a sprinter 2007 and the dealer installed an aftermarket rear air conditioner since i bought the knob has broken 3 times and they said that they dont have nothing better than that,Im looking for a switch or knob that works for 1 year without problems

If I may ask!...how much did the dealer charge?
