The U.S. Dodge wil be getting the newest of the auto trans! Question is will you have Manual , most likely no! As there is no power loss between the auto and manual with the exception of torque range RPM
U.S. Doge Sprinter is being tested now, should be avaliable before Christmas, unless there is a delay in production.
Sprinters Have been released in Australia most European options are included The Lighting system has been resolved for the US depending on States are now optioned for DOT requirements system Standard bi- xenon headlamps, and the option for Add-light System illuminates the area directly to the side and in front of vehicle when turning. All safety items such as the (ESP) with ABS, ASR, BAS,EBD,"ROM,= roll-over stabilizer system" LAC, RMI, USC are standard on all Sprinters.
The issue with the Head as to the injectors giving so much problems in the U.S. has been replaced with the Third improved module, The vibration from the harmonic balances is gone with the introduction of the new V6 Diesel.

How do you know all this information when nothing has been released in the U.S. I'm not doubting you, I'm just jealous. I sell a ton of the babies and can't get an answer. We will not see the '07 models until at least January 07.

If you want the latest info on the New Sprinters I can email you the PFD dealer accs/ from Europe,
mail to [email protected]
PS delay is because of supply from Europe and to CKD format being altered to U.S. requirements etc plus a little politics with management, don't ask DR Z he knows nothing? but de judge does.
PS this information is for dealers only so use your [web site email] or! I will not send to unknown email address.

I've heard the same thing -- no 2007's available until around mid-year, and possibly none with the new V-6 diesel until sometime after that, due to problems meeting new US/California(?) air standards. I've also heard from Sportsmobile, a US company that does RV conversions using the Sprinter platform, that they expect to have more precise info in early November, after a Daimler/Chrysler meeting is held. In the meantime, stock of 2006 models is running low and remaining vehicles are beginning to fetch premiums added to MSRP -- the downside of supply and demand. Bummer...

The new v6 from mercedes does meet all 50 state clean air requirements for BIN 8 after 2008 even the older 5 cylinder in-line has had further improvements to the head to burn off excess fuels third ERG update since 2002 2004 2006.
Delays are political with the synergies of management between DCX Daimler Benz is getting tough on Chysler management as to continuing losses which is impacting of future growth sratagies for global expansion it's starting to cost Dailmer too much after ten years of a marriage of conveniance The Germans are really thinking of dumping Chrysler by tradeing it off to the likes of Renault it's the car thats losing money not the industry transport sector which Chrysler is so strong with, but it's not enough when the loses continue year after year that has cost Dailmer Benz so dearly

looking at buying 07 sprinter but unsure affter reading some of the problems I see reported. I am also told that sprinter is not offering an extended warranty at this time. My question would you sprinter owners buy another one?

The dealership that I purchased my 2006 from (Houston area) had only one 2007 Sprinter on the lot that I could see, a hi-top 144 . Their inventory list shows 18 2007's, all low roof & 144's & 1/3 of them are gas engines. Go figure. Another big dealership near Galveston list 22 2007's & all are low roof?

Can you, or anyone you can recommend, answer whether the 2007 Sprinter (US model) will accommodate a PTO? If so, who provides the PTOs? In adavnce, Thanks!

I have a 2007 hi-top 144 v-6, and I have had a few problems with acceleration issues. After starting out on the road, it takes a few minutes for it to reach thruway speed. It seems to have a hard time getting past 50mph.

PTO not available on an Automatic with a V6 it requires a lower Hp for idle set and preferably with 4 cylinder-in-line with manual transmission as it's the trans that drives the PTO.

My best thought that answers this question is temperature related, fuel source and lines engine need to be at a higher temp for operating , let it run for ten minutes.
Watch the temp gauge, as it rises to minimum temperature.. the engine will become more effective to operate.

I have the same vehicle and the same problem. I had it in the shop just today and they can find no problem.

I've noticed that my acceleration issues always show up in conjunction with a low pitched rumble.

The fix so far has been to stop, shut off engine, restart. Problem goes away.

Does this sound familiar?

N/American NCV3 V6 Diesel as stated in the main manual requires a minimum cetane level of 46 CN
US diesel ULSD is rated 40 CN .
Winter grade Diesel with thinners, kero added has a drop of 4CN points in values, with resulting temperatures below temp-10c The fuel rating is down to 36 CN and lower depending on the quality of the fuel purchased.. This is not a Engine fault but a fuel not up to scratch for a modern diesel engine with DPF filters,
Ignition burn to low, for full maxium engine operation.
Add an upper cylinder lubricant to increase cetane level for ignition spark at injectors for a hotter burn additives have anti-gelling agents to clean fuels and excessive water, replace fuel filters and the van will be OK!if cold start.. pre-warm engine before placing auto into drive for at least 10 minutes.
Consult your dealer for further advise as to winter driving operations, if not familiar with standard manual, or ESP Adaptive breaking Technology as to anti-skid and anti_ Break_lock at rear wheels.

I have the same problem, Truck is sitting in the dealer almost a month and can't seem to find out the problem.. I don't recommend this CAR. I lost so much work especially now summer I bought this car for my A/C business, loved it for the space but other than that is just garbage. my lights in the back don't work, the panels by the door fell off and this car has only 4000miles the problem started at 700miles. I'm so upset because DODGE is just giving me the run around mean while I don't have a car and lost so much work cause they didn't even given me a Loaner, which when I bought it they promise you a loaner if anything goes bad w/ the truck. Does anyone know what I should do? Or has gone thru the same thing?

2007 6 cylinder diesel 3500 duelly. I drive all over the USA and this thing has cost my company an incredible amount of money not only on the poor fuel performance but also because it breaks down so much. Even when it is running it will default out of nowhere and I have to stop and reset the engine (turn off then back on). I change the fuel filter ($350.00) every time I change the oil but that doesn't seem to help. I think that htis van is the perfect vehicle for my business but it does not work. It is incredibly unreliable. I wonder if it is worth the scrap metal it is made of.
We have a smaller beat up one (2005)that has 300K and it runs great.
