My 2001 Dodge Caravan's brake lights are not working. Bulbs are good. Couldn't find the fuse box? Does this model not use fuses? Anyone else with similar problem?

if you look near the break pedale there will be a switch.this problem happened to me in the car when i replace the switch my lights worked.

there is no switch near the brake pedal in my vehicle. Do I need to remove anything( a cover) to get to this switch? I changed the fuse and it was not blown so I don't know what to do.

check the switch-my headlights on my 1995 caravan will only go on if i play with the switch-all other lights go on fine-switches run about 165.00 at a repair shop-check the switch before someone trys to convince you that you might have an electrical problem which include expensive diagnostic tests-(before they do anything)

The switch, located appox. two to three inches above the pedal and when you push the pedal the "plunger" comes out and activates the brake lights, at the auto parts store is called a "stop light switch". On my 02 caravan I unplugged the electrical connector and the switch you rotate it 30 degrees to remove it. Dealership cost is $20-$22, Auto Zone was $12-$15

Its got to be the switch, look up where the brake pedal rests and there should be a black plunger style switch, it may be stuck in and needs to be lubed or moved in and out a bit or it may be broken or unplugged. Try that. I just replaced my switch and the brake lights works great. Easy to do.

I have a 99 Dodge 1500 converson van that the brake lights are not working, but the 3rd light is working when you hit the brakes. I heard a clicking sound coming from the fuse box area prior to this problem. I replaced the multi use relay to no avail.
