2001 Durango Front Blower Motor Doesn't operate

2001 Durango RT, Front Blower Motor Doesn't operate, but can be made to work if I groung the return at the motor, so I assume the return is open at the controller. I also assume there is a component that controls the reurn that is not functioning. Care to speculate what it is please?

i hav an 04 durango and mine was working sometimes. i finally got to the deales when it was not working and had to replace relay. second time it has been replaced in 2 years. mechanice said blower moter was probably pulling too much amps
