custome says vehicle just dies and will no restart, then sometimes will restart after sitting. Found no fuel pump action, no starter relay action, no PCM communication. All fuses good. Installed new shut down relay, installed new "front control module". Removed aftermarket alarm system. Can communicate with all modules (tcm, bcm, abs, srs) just not with pcm.
Open to any suggestions

Some of these vehicles are known for having PCM wiring harness/connector issues (under the driver's side dash/kick panel and or floor board area). Warning: always refer to the factory manual instructions when working on the electrical system of any airbag equipped vehicle. This, in some cases, involves disconnecting the battery and waiting for 15-20 minutes before working on the electrical system so as to prevent possible airbag deployment.

You can search the web for more info on this.

HTH

P.S. Have you tried to scan the system with an "after market" or factory type scanner that plugs directly into the under dash PCM?

I own a 2003 Dodge Caravan with 115K miles. We recently put a new starter in it and everything was fine.

It now does nothing when we turn the key--but all lights and power are fine. Repair shop is testing and thinks it may be Crankshaft Sesor but 100% sure?

What are other possibilities?

Thank you

pins on module PCM always look like shit to me. Thats what people get when they buy a car that has a computer outside under the hood. But me, I dont even want the thing in my car. So why did they put it there... Its likley, that they can not be getting good contact, the wires. Pins dirty. Mositure then dry conditions cause corrosion of these pins. One guy on here,, said he had a cracked pin, but that is just what the dealer told him, so they could sell him another one perhaps. Wow, so much for wont start wont run, run sometimes. I would also check the tranny module, and pins on it... Make certain all of them are clean.... God knows, there is enough of them. Then if you have a problem, go the guy above, the floorboard harness
