i am afraid this will end bad for the workers. has cerebus had anyone interested in buying the axle plants. last i heard they couldn't get anyone to answer the phone when they called them about selling the plants. i wonder how much of that 10 billion turn around dollars they are willing to burn before they say "shoot the pig". i guess they are smart enough to say, lets divide up what we have left of the 10 billion and go home, if at some point they see that chrysler is sinking. they have already sold off alot of our assets, some of them, most people don't even know about. the only thing that i am sure of, is that if we make it, we will be owned by someone else in the future. they will not be american. who knows.

C'mon Roadrunner, this whole Chrysler situation is a debacle and it was a travesty to bring in Nardelli to run an automaker after his tumultuous exit from Home Depot. Also, dropping $50 million on Jim Press while laying off tens of thousands of UAW workers and having no fuel efficient product in the pipeline is just plainly a poor decision.
Can you at least admit that in the past year they have done nothing but slash-n-burn as we expected? They got rid of some UAW workers, axed a few nameplates, took a bath on the Plastech fiasco, threw $50 million at an aging Toyota exec, and now they'll launch a thirsty new Ram?
In the meanwhile their minivans are in the tank.
Yes true, it just sucks to see this unfolding. I’m reserving one last tad of hope they have a big one in the bag. Just thinking it might be a bit to early for a write off, hopefully. I do happen to think Chrysler tends to make cars with style and personality. It would be ashamed to lose this auto maker.

GM needs to buy them! Get Daimler out of the way once and for all. Let Cerberus run Chrysler into the ground and maybe, just maybe, GM can purchase them for cheap.

I have long touted the benefits of marketing Hummer/Jeep under one roof, GM picking up the LX RWD platform to sell as a Chevy Impala and Pontiac Grand Prix, and giving Chevy and Buick each a minivan.

The Challenger would market will alongside the Camaro.

Chrysler does not see the long term with Cerebus in command. They will strip the entire company after they destroy the vehicle lineup. As far as the minivan, the style is just UGLY!! No style to it at all!

I’m all for it. No doubt that would be a crazy adventure. Historically GM and Chrysler have always been at odds with each other. I could actually see GM and Chrysler in team at the meeting, cops and blood, and a couple of over my dead fu***** bodies, definitely an interesting combo.
