I just saw a several pics of the new Dodge Avenger. Just when you thought it couldn't get any homelier than the boxy yellow-cab-like Charger, Daimler shoves out yet another stubby and even homelier looking glob of sheet metal and plastic.
I could have designed a better looking anything with an Etch-A-Sketch, a monkey, and a bottle of scotch.
Apparently, it is Daimlers goal to make all of their lowly designs fit onto a stubby european frame and adorn them all with that over done and un-aerodynamic truck grill.
Daimler continues to trash any semblance of the muscle car heritage that once was Chrysler. Yet they expect everyone to fall lock-step into line and goose-step to their Kool-Aid.

O please, who has made a so called muscle car in years! At least this car has a look of its own. Not the egg shape that every one else has. You can tell what this car is when you see it, not say is that a yota or a saturn or some other lack luster boring everyday ride. Go drive one then bitch about it! See how it is to be someone, not just another piece of crap on the road.

Car is roomy and fun to drive. Plus it has a beer, er beverage cooler above the glovebox.

I found the Avenger to be roomy, stylish and surprisingly peppy with the 4-cylinder. Better than it's sluggish Sebring cousin. Even with the AC on it's got some spring to it. The metal is aggressive but not overdone. Some nice touches inside as well. Sure, you can get fancier for a few thousand more. But I'm impressed with the Avenger overall.

I too recently bought an SXT Avenger. It was a toss up with the Altima. The Avenger had more room and drove more like a luxury car. On a recent out of town trip, It got over 33 mpg hwy. I'm getting between 25-29 in town. The beverage cooler is useless for cans but good for sandwiches. I love this car!

I bought one and I'd rather be driving this than some dork car that looks like everyone else. For the price I bought an SE for, It was better looking than the one's that were alot more.

Yesterday I purchased an 08 Avenger SXT with the 2.7 without the touchscreen radio. I traded an 04 Mustang convertable and think I got a much nicer more distinctive car. Style and comfort with a great warranty. Let us not forget that 77% of the materials used are from America and Canada. The first poster sounds just like an anti Chrysler person that would rather support Japans economy than Americas.
