BAP has a very high rate of people dropping off. I know for a fact just on my team we,ve had 1 that couldn't do the job and was walked out after 3 days. 1 that made it 3 days and didnt show up for day 4. 1 just started yesterday and didn't come back today. And 1 thats been training for a week and a half and might make it but hes still struggling pretty bad considering its a job I learned in less than an hour. Been hearing about the same things from people all over trim and chasis departments. I've heard they're have about a 30% failure rate for new hires. Thats not looking good with the job situation in this area. You would think these people would do anything for a job!!! But when you know the guy working next to you is making twice as much to do an even easier job, and your only there for a temporary job I'd probably walk too...

Are these people hired through a 'labor ready' type outfit, or are they makin their full wage? I'm not suprised at all these people are walkin, they better jack it up to about 18 an hour and a hiring company better not have there hands in it...

I thought monkeys were suppose to be able to do this job??? Don't the trolls and ignorant writers say that? We have grown men quitting like babies because they can't do it? I'd like to see the soft and weak desk jockeys pull half a shift. LOL!

"Don't stop you dumb motherf*&er, you're getting in the hole!!"

"Untangle your hose, dipshit, and stop dropping parts!"

"Go back and enter the repair in the computer and I'll get your next one for you... since you can't do the job."

"You have awhile til break... stop asking."

"You gotta go real bad? Don't strain picking up them bumpers... its gonna be awhile!!"

"You did great today(not really) but see you tomorrow. We'll do it again."

"Yep, it feels like we never left. <pop> *Line starts*"

Being an autoworker takes alot of will, discipline, coordination, and conditioning PERIOD. Two Tier is gonna cost the company crazy amounts of money because of the turnaround rate.

They have both, and both are walking. Some are getting $14 an hour my sister got in for that. The ones coming in through the temp agency are only gettin 8 something an hour. One of my buddies was training a guy one morning that was only gettin the $8. The guy walked at lunch told my buddy screw this I can go to McDonalds and make $9 an hour. Not have to work as hard and get a free lunch if I work more than 6 hours. So that now shows McDonalds pays better and has better benifits than the auto industry.

I said that months ago! "When they start hiring people to do those jobs at 14 bucks an hour. Roll over will be exremely high, moral will be very low, and then, QUALITY WILL SUFFER FATALLY."
AND WE MAKE TOO MUCH !!!! HA
Once more, gread and disrespect will lead to the demise of the once powerful U. S Auto Industry..tisk tisk...(shakes his head and walks away)

Quality??lol They don't care about quality only quanity!! Its something we've all known and joked about for a long time. But its no joke anymore. When my sister was training she was told by a SUPERVISOR that quality doesn't matter all they are worried about up stairs at this point is quanity. This is what management is telling new hires!! At this point you couldn't pay me to take one of these cars. Not to mention when quality completely goes to the crapper it will just give Fiat another reason to ship our jobs over seas.

Quality is Chryslers future and they think somebody making 14 dollars is going to give a s@$# about doing a great job. This company is really starting to make me think it is time to go.

The people that took buyouts are the ones that could get another job. The ones that are without a high school education are just plan lazy stayed. I am not counting people with over twenty years they had to stay. I understand that.

I hope you are wrong if quality doesn't change we will all be out of a job again. More bad car reviews will do so much harm now.

Quality will suffer and so will the company in the long run. Some of these jobs take days to learn properly. If they (the company) don't wake up....it is not gonna be good. $27.00 an hour is worth putting up with some B.S. $14.00 an hour for that type of work is slave labor. If you never did it you have no idea what I am talking about.

i have always tried to explain to people on the outside how it really is nowadays. i do not come from a uaw automotive family and the people i grew up with did not go the automotive route. they were all builders, tile, paint, or college. i have explained to them that until someone does these jobs in the assy plants at least for a month they have no idea the toll it takes mentally and physically.

i did wonder about the economy being bad and maybe people would be so deaperate now that they would stick with it until economy turned!! yeah right!their is a reason that even toyota and other transplants that are non uaw pay as much and even more. that so called operating gap is retirees!! toyota just had their first 30 year retiree a couple years ago.

if a person cant pay for a car and a place to live why would they come work their especially without the benefits now or after retirement!! i think all three will now relize this. then they are going to hire from a company that is gonna take 40% of their pay??? i told myself a long time ago that this would not work. what happened to all these news agencies that said people would be falling over thereselves to work for that lower pay in this economy????

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Leo

Perhaps it's the fact that it's Christmas Eve and everyone is busy, but you can't help feeling that you're walking on eggshells around certain people. Their emotions are very close to the surface and could erupt at a moment's notice, perhaps in a storm of tears or a fit of pique. Calm them down and ask if you can do anything to help.
