There is talk of another buyout in January 2013. The company is offering early retirement 25+ years $100,000 plus their pension. The other offer for those with 24 or less is $12,000 per year of service and 24 months of insurance coverage. This is huge. You might not believe me now but more info will be out in the coming months.

This rumor happens every year. They said there was going to be a buy out last January and it never happened!!! For all you newbies at chrysler most rumors are started by people who would like something to happen and they think if they start a rumor then it might happen!!!!

So according to these numbers someone with say 20 yrs could take the buyout & receive $240,000 & two years of ins....I don't think so

There will never be another buyout. Sergio knows if he can't take it out of the pension or VEBA fund it's not a money maker. All funds go to vehicle development. If it doesn't involve new development it doesn't get funds.

NotsoSmrtwm you are truly a rumor troll. I'll bet this weeks check you don't have more than 3-4 years seniority, because a true line vet could never be as clueless as you.

chrysler jeep toledo. workers who started in 82 were allways out bid by 78 and 79 sinority workers.we were stuck with the harder jobs no one wonted. Allways being stuck on jobs people hated. After seeing 2009 buyouts to the workers with 78 and 79 sinority. They got 75,000 and a new car voucher. That ads up to 100,000. And 100,000 to thoes with 2 or more years sinority. They should have kept low sinority working. And saved that hundred grand they gave to low siority to buy out 82 and 83 sinority. But no we get nothing and we were the real workers who did all the ball busting work.I had 23 years at the old plant befor I went to the new jeep plant. It was hard stedy work all day. I went home soke from sweat every day working in that old plant.Im really disapointed chryslers not considering a buy out fore us 82 sinority workers. I dont like the new jeep plants work ethics.Long 10 hr days six days a week. And how they went about getting us to work thoes hrs. They offered a contrack to work
4 ten hr day to have a three day weekend to have more time with family.
That was a lie we have been working 10 hrs a day 6 days aweek every since
no 3 day weekend. All the conseshions we gave up a lot. And have got nothing back nothing. They got what they wanted marchioni. What about us the workers that made it all happen. Its the workers that made thoes big proffits possible. Pure bood sweat and tears. Balls to the wall workers like me.Where is my buyout. And no I dont drink or do drugs eather. What a let down 30 years is a long time and to thoes just 3 years earler get that kind a buyout. And then we get nothing no offer nothing. And marchioni buys an island off the coast of itally. From my broken back
for the people who dont work for UAW you dont know chit. Try walking a mile in my shoes.30 years is to long for nothing.

2 or more year sinority

<quoted text>Be luckey you have a job whiney bitch. As for a buyout = good luck with that one = no money for it = also no money for your pension ( over $6 billion underfunded )= unsustainable = no pension for you = your retirement and buyout = 30 more years working 10hr days 6 dys a week = to funny = hahahahahahahaha = do i feel sorry for you = hell no!!!!!!= to funny = hahahahahahahahaha
Ok. So you are saying Sergio Marchionne, who is the CEO of 3 companies, will focus energy on getting rid of seniority? Sure he will. The financial situation in Europe and Chryslers return from bankruptcy and the poor economy here and the slew of new product launches that will be happening the next few years and he will try to change seniority? You do realize how unimportant that is in the grand scheme of things? It won't even be on the table.
