Looks like the companies want a lot of changes in the CAW contract, such as no more early retirement with 30 years,pension contributions, tier 2 wages. I really think they will get all of this. Really now, the 30 and out is outdated, it's unsustainable in these times and always was.

looks bad for CAW, all future retirees have to be a certain age to retire and pay a percentage to the pension plan

Ford and G.M. are making progress but Chrysler isn't. Sergio is going to play tough in the contract, he wants all of those demands and I bet he gets 95 % of them.

Lawenza already said all 3 will pattern. They are not gonna allow an advantage to another company. Then in 2015 Uaw can strike and better their agreements considerably. Then Caw wont be so disadvantaged on costs.

A few CAW contracts ago Chrysler said we'll invest in the Pillette Plant if you agree to this contract. Before the contract was dry Chrysler back out because of the economy. They ended up closing the plant.
