What will they earn per hour?

just remember that it says SOME temporary workers and TPT's and ETE's will be hired first, so it all depends on how many are getting hired. It also doesn't say when people will be hired or how you will be notified so just be cautious.

Talked to Bap Pres today. There is a list. The list contains the 23ish Monday/Friday workers before the ETE's where hired, and all ETE's currently working in the plant. They where to receive the hiring package this week, but due to the parts shortage it is being delayed to next week. There is two pay scales, One at 14.65 and one at 16.xxish. The higher scale is for the long term TPT and possible the ETE's that did not have a year removed from the company. I was laid off in March 08 and came back Nov09, so I am getting the 14.65 rate. That is all the Pres would divulge.

Rumor is that seniority date will be Feb,15 2010, and the 90 days waved. If true that means we will get paid for the upcoming holidays, Get vacation/PA this coming May and Sub would start at Feb,15 2011. Unless something different was negotiated. This is just biased off rumors coming from the same people that broke the news Friday we where getting hired, So I am leaning on the side of believing it.

Its been a long, long, road for this group of people, and its about time they get hired in. Expect a hand delivered package next week, and a possible Robo call this week or next for those on the list. Congrats to all those that get hired, you deserve it.

Ok people before this shit keeps on rolling I just want to tell everyone some important info that will be of good use for all. First I don’t know where people are getting these weird assumptions about how & who is going to get hired the only people that were told so far were the once known as ETES no weekend people were offered anything like always . Second the pay, were in hell are you getting your info from. Only hr and their sweet cakes (UAW) know of what will be offered. And last of all people were only given another promise like always nothing accurate.

It is stated in contract this way, get the book and read it.....
After the local and national job pool has been cleared, which it has, the next tier to be hired is TPT Monday/Friday workers, then the summer vacation replacement (if any are left), then ETE's from 3 new launch, then current temp workers/new hires.

If it is stated that way in the contract, why in the hell didn't the union bring that up? Oh thats right "what union".We pay union dues too and they need to back us up alittle more then what they have which is NONE,besides I thought that the contract was revised when chrysler went bankrupt;cause Gedney is saying the total opposite of what UnionReader said. All I know is,there is alot of TPT's that are really pissed off right now and its not generated at the ETE's its not there fault. But congrats to them.

This not entirely true. Local 1268 has a side letter that was made with the contract that states that ETE's will be hired at BAP before anyone else. So that is before any TPT/SVR or any other class. The fact that there is 20-25 TPT's getting hired is because those TPT's where there before the ETE's where hired, and they took the ETE contract with the promise they could revert back to TPT status after the ETE's left. In my opinion, its because of this side letter, and the fact that Kenosha is closing, that the rest of the TPT's in the plant have not been flipped like the rest of the company.
