Because they have Mack 2 home plant status but worked at Mack 1.

Because anyone that ever went to mopar had to sign a letter saying a parts plant can never become a homeplant. Second if all, if you go out if state it's by choice, you give up your time if you decide to go out of state. Case closed.

Chrysler won't even be the target company in the next contract. GM will. Ford and GM aren't considering getting rid of seniority because they know it would be a deal breaker in any contract. Tier 2's also don't want to get rid of it. They know it's the only way they get better jobs. There is one thing that will always be a constant in the UAW is seniority. Whether Sergio wants to get rid of is irrelevant. Even he doesn't have enough pull to convince GM and Fors to try to push for that. If it doesn't have a direct effect on the bottom line, then it's collateral damage. You can't quantify seniority into $, so it's simply not as important ans lower wages and paying more for employee paying more for healthcare and other ways of reducing the bottom line. Not getting rid of seniority.
I'm well aware this will not deter you from your continuous assault on the subject and pension. That's not what this was meant for. I responded for the others who may actually be gullible enough to actually believe you.

Toyota has seniority, but their union doesn't protect the old and week. If they can't work they retire or get a medical retirement. Our UAw needs to stop protecting the old and week. If you can't do a job, you shouldn't be working or being paid a full wage. It makes no economical sense.

There were no attrition that happened in the last couple of years that I remembered. So why are they just giving them their senority, a lot of people asking our local but no one got any answers.

Don't know how long you been working for Chrysler but you should know they always go back and change things in the contract as long as it benefits the company and the Union says THEY CAN DO THAT,so just deal with it Baby Girl.
