The idiot that wrote this piece talks about how so many investors would be waiting to sweep up GM's and Chrysler's brands. If so, where is Hummer and Saturn today? Even if they did pick up the brands, who's to say they would not simply be slapped on a vehichle made in China? Another vulture-capitalist ideological simpleton.

And so I'm guessing that you believe these are the facts? LOL!! This is one idiot's opinion. There are no facts in this article. You might be able to find a handfull of these articles, but you will find hundreds that include "facts". This article would not qualify as one of them.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_bailout...

Now a quote from that link... "A week later, Chrysler CEO Robert Nardelli said, in a speech at an Ernst & Young conference, that the company can only remain viable by forming an alliance with another automaker, domestic or global, as well as receiving government assistance in the form of an equity stake".

See there? That took all of 5 minutes to find, and the idiot that you wish to follow, wants to accuse the mainstream media of not doing any research. LOL!! That's right, it wasn't Obama's idea after all. It was the CEO of Chrysler that said another automaker had to take over...NOT Obama!

Who's the sheep now? Go ahead and follow the idiot you found.

What the hell r u talking about mousy? We were talking about Romney not saying "let Detroit go bankrupt". In reality meaning the auto industry that Obama let go bankrupt. By the way the real Detroit is going bankrupt for real under king Obama failing leadership.

Then, YOU are talking about Romney not saying "let Detroit go bankrupt". I was talking about the WHOLE article in general. Detroit was going bankrupt wellllll before Obama.

The Federal Deficit has been around for a while...long before Obama. It's my belief that our government has continued on for just as long "not helping it's peeps". Forgive me, but I just choose the lesser of the two evils.

No, the country is headed in the same direction as its always been since our founding fathers formed the government. Money and ones ability to get it by any means necessary is the true backbone of the united states and always will be.

You mean the National Debt. Yes it has but Obama said he would cut it in half before the end of his first term. He instead increased it by 50%. Regardless Detroit is a result of Democratic policies and corruption. A lot of major cities are in the same boat.

Yes, i meant the National Debt. But Linda, not all of these other major cities were a result of "Democratic policies". Corruption runs on both sides of the fence.

Maybe so to some extent, but what parties really ran the major cites that are really falling into bankruptcy.

Maybe if the Fat Cats would not bleed the company dry. Why not let them make the $100,000 a year then bleed Chrysler of any money. Then we all will get the pink slip, including the fat cats. Meoww.
