They can't, cause as soon as they go to force them to do actual work they run crying to the union steward about how they called them a racist name and threatened them with physical violence &/or unwanted sexual favors and then they get their asses reamed out by the union for trying to get the lazy SOBs to do the job they are paid for, the union needs to change before the employees will change.

What happened to giving letters to the employees to give to relatives or good friends for hiring at Chrysler? This is the type of people you will get for these jobs. They are not accountable to anyone that was there before them.

Not a good idea. Some employees sold their letters, to their friends or family, some got jobs, some didn,t.

I,m telling you what it was like back in the 90,s. This was a program set up, so they could get their family , and friends in, and theres nothing wrong with that, except employees abused it, trying to make a buck off it. You will probably never see that happen again.

At my plant, SSP, we had a lottery a couple of years back for referrals, but it was a sham. There was no way of knowing if your name was even in the drawing. I don't think there's a single T2 in our plant that's not related to somebody. The more useless they are, the more related to somebody in International. It doesn't bother me that they get paid half what I do, most don't even do half the work. It's no good for morale when you have these brats in hi-lo & inspection getting a slap on the wrist for offenses that would get us non-connected folks time off if not fired. I totally understand why some companies have a policy against hiring family of current employees.

I agree. Management should start with the drug testing. Afterall it is a sign of true leadership.

And that's why they will never test us randomly because they would have to test themselves.

drug tests have nothing to do with the quality of workers. in my plant all the hard workers are pot heads outside of work. wouldnt know it on the line cause they work cicles round everyone else. the true solution is to change the interview process. for example.. at the walmart dirtribution centers you take a long ass personality test, then you have a one on one interview about you and a strong scrutinizing of you previous work record. Then you have a second interview with 2 people questioning you, and sometimes there is even a third. its not just pass a drug test and get a job. And i dont know how it is at your plants but we seriously need to come up with some kind of serious physical tests so we dont hire people that cant even walk without being all gimpy and shit. 3 people at mine have got on while they had surgerys already scheduled and immediatley taking 3 months off!!! WTF i mean if you make it easy to get on you wont get quailty workers.....enough of my rant im done

im 25 and hopefully if i get hired in soon, i will bust my ass like i do at the job i work at now. I understand where u guys are saying and take a job seriously, we do not have to be on the phones its a place for work. They pay us to work not to be on our phones talking to our friends, all that can wait until we are on break or going home.

Douche:
Gimpy is not a problem. I've seen people with limps work very hard. I've also seen a lot of lazy ass "fit" people (Macedonian Mick is an example. Triathlete and world class lazy a$$).

These little snot nosed bastards are the reason Chrysler will ultimately fail. There will be no third chance either. Their crooked relatives downtown should be convicted for the bone they threw us too. Need to take a good look at the local leadership or lack of too. Bobby and Ray are a joke!
