thats the $64,000 question . It would be nice to know . There are rumours on the floor in the Northplant that they are BUT there are just as many saying Warren is down to 1 shift due to sales. Be nice if someone from WARREN would let us know it might make a difference to some people looking at a package.

Last I heard from any thing of a reliable source was the only thing that was done was a feasability study .......and that warren did not get the funding for the rambox and the 8' box. I heard it is a multimillion dollar project . Of course this was about a month ago.

Rumors are rampant. We still have 2 shifts, we are still working for now. We were suppose to retool for the rambox(rumor) the 8'box(rumor)and the hybrid(for sure). However everything's been put on hold, to see if they get the government money for retooling.

supposedly cerberus has cut off funding for anything so as beneficial as it would be for them to do it, it doesn't seem like they're putting any money into anything right now
guess who

I talked to one of the automation guys, he says Cerebus is doing everything they can to stall, the warren plant upgrade. Seems like they are waiting on government funding before they proceed.

On CNN just right now. They said the only way the Big 3 can get that money is opening the contract back up (My thought- Take out sub pay and anything else you get when layoff) and redo that thing.

OH boy! http://money.cnn.com/ Watch that video I hope it doesn't come to that

Hey Bush, why don't you go back to work at your 14 dollar an hour SCAB jap auto part supplier. If you all had balls you would join the union and make REAL money....

Sales will dictate our future. With us only selling 17-20K a month in Rams and 3 plants making them its only a matter of time before they start shutting the doors on some plants and killing shifts at others. Personally I think they need to shut down Satillo but we know they wont do that.

Amen brother !! I dont think Saltillo is even making the new body style ,I thought they were not switching them over till jul 09 ? I think they kept the old body style for the mega cabs and such that they build . I know they are still stamping alot of the old body style parts because they have shipped us some by accident. Infact they added things to some of our fixtures to prevent them from being loaded ( it happened on day ). GL

We got our local FYI today. Looks like Warren will be down for the 2 weeks following Christmas. Weeks of Jan 5th and Jan 12th. Maybe some time before X-mas depends on orders.

Warren truck went down today all were sent home.
Bad seats, they were told the fabric is FLAMABLE and TOXIC. Turns out the fabric comes from CHINA then goes to INDONESIA, they turn it into seats and they get shipped to Warren truck. NICE !!
