I told that the christmas shutdown doesnt go toward our 90 days. I thought 90 days meant 90 calendar days regardless of if u work or not.

I hired in 1999 and my shutdown did not count. I dont know if things have changed since then.

Still does NOT count. Have to add on any unpaid days that where missed. Be it a single holiday or a whole week for x-mas break.

If you do not get paid for a regular scheduled work day due to calling in or a holiday that you DO NOT get paid for you have to add that time on to your 90 days.

Riiiiiiiiight.

If that was the case, my probationary period would have lasted 5 months!

It's 90 production days. Days the factory is operating. Christmas break will not count because Chrysler will not be operating during those days.

JnapA5, are u a,b or c shift? Because im in A5 as well and I have tons of questions. Since u have ALL the answers maybe u could help us out. You are dead wrong about the 90 days tho.. U do work with us... Right?

I'm not dead wrong about anything.

90 *calendar* days. When I started, they told us the same crap. Didn't turn out to be true, even my steward (at the time) said "working" days. Apparently that USED to be true.

I'm no longer on A5 but I am on C shift.

This is a perfect example of a sad attempt at humor.
