Yes tier 2 can get a raise. Tier 1 people are lying to all of you since they do not want their wages reduced. Vote for an equal pay system If you want a raise then vote them down. Even if they stay at $28 an hour tier 2 will never reach that point. Get what you can before it's gone.

2nd of all, he doesn't understand that they will never unite as one and 2nd, alot of the 2nd tier dream of going up not HATE on the top tier to come down. they need to ask themselves how many 2nd tier people do they have in union positions and how many they have in international, just saying, put in your time newbies

You don't need a raise. Your job does not warrant it. It has been proved that uneducated people can do the same job at $14 as uneducated people making $28

What exactly is there going to be to vote down? Here's a little education for you. There may not even be a need for a vote due to the fact that there is a no strike clause in the language at the current time. The international and the company will agree on what they can and what they can't will go to an arbitrator to decide. So even though a vote may be held it really won't be for much of anything. One more thing wages most likely won't go down for tier 1 since the company is making money. Would be kind a difficult to pay out bonuses then say you don't have any money.

Ask anyone over in final and they will tell you 1st shift which is a lot of tier 1 runs better with less repairs than 2nd shift that is mostly tier 2. I worked 2nd for a long time when I first started and at that time 2nd ran better than first. We had all the low seniority and a much younger group. What up with 2nd shift now?

My guess would be you get what you pay for.You don't expect perfection for 14 dollars do you. With no expectatios for anything more. You get a person who does a job and its just a job.Perfection will cost alittle more.Money and benefits will get a person who will work through the pain for his family to have more.If you treat someone like sh.t
you get sh.t.There are sooo many hardworkers of both groups but both groups have slackers as well.I'm not gonna disrespect the T1s.They deserve their pay.T2s deserve a chance to EARN it.

When a T2 starts venting about how things aren't fair. You jump on them hard. But I see its ok to dis the T2s.Union a group of people who stick together for each others rights.I will say I've never in my working career seen so many people of both groups so angry and unhappy.Lets all stick together Union is all we have.Management will have to pay for its poor decisions. But I would like to see us autoworkers stick together.

I agree with you, tier 2's don't have a long term investment in the companies success, they could really care less if chrysler makes it or not, no pension to lose, no real good job to lose, nothing they wouldn't or really couldn't walk away from if COSTCO offered them a job, i think managment fucked up big time by having tier 2 start at $14/hour and not see a light at the end of the tunnel, have them take 10 years to get to top tier, but god damn, give them something to look forward to

If you cash your check you give 100%..period. If not I guess that speaks volumes about your work ethic. You get paid to do a job if you are not willing to do it but cash the check maybe you should do something else. McDonalds doesnt pay well but if you accept a job there you do it. I think pay has nothing to do with a persons work ethic. You accept the job cash the check do what you are paid to do...

The only thing is that McDonalds doesn't have a 2nd tier doing the same work as 1st tier, everybody is 4th tier at McDonalds, let's all make $7 an hour and ask if you want a drink with that

Actually, there are 3 tiers. The 1st tier who make $28 hr., 2nd tier who make $16 hr.,(ete,mon-fri, etc.), and finally 3rd tier at $14hr. Tier 1 workers deserve their pay, it was bargained at each contract and they have put their time in. The other tiers need same base pay ($16hr), and the chance to increase their pay with each new contract. We're all in this together(making cars), so tier 1, don't hate on 2nd tier, tier 2, don't hate on 1st tier. For the tier 2 & 3 people, if u hate the job, quit. There r others who would love to have a job. A word to mgmt. We want to build a quality vehicle, your decisions won't let us. Letting us put in poor quality parts(of which we have no control), makes everyone look bad. Just my thoughts.

So what you are saying is because someone might be making more money than you that gives you an excuse not to do your job???? I made less than others when I started there and I did what I was paid to do. There was a chance to make more yes but that could have changed in an instant. Could have been laid off many scenarios. We need to stick together period. Things will not change for any of us if we are fighting and people are not doing what they are paid to do!
