ALL THE ABOVE
Answer...ALL THE ABOVE! Chrysler uses cheap plastic parts in their shifters, leaving women (and men) STRANDED!

Loved my 300c until Chrysler failed to stand behind their product and actually be responsible for their STUPID decision to use CHEAP plastic parts in a car's shifter. They say there's a recall covering your year and model but, of course, your VIN isn't covered. They want $310 to "repair" what their stupidity caused. Billet's has the METAL replacement part for $39.99!!!

The total ineptness of Chrysler has made future purchases of their vehicles just "not gonna happen!"

Some moron gets a raise for saving 10 cents on a part that eventually costs the customer $150 to replace when it breaks.

Same old Chrysler/Dodge, poor quality = poor reliability. New styling and interiors may seem sexy at first glance, but don't get suckered, too many gremlins at work sabotaging high $$ vehicles. Here is a link where about 20 new Dodge Journey owners have rated it the lowest in reliability (1 out of 5 stars). Dodge Journey is built in Toluca, Mexico using less than 38% of it's parts from America. Imported from Detroit...no, imported from Mexico. Disgusting.

http://www.edmunds.com/dodge/journey/2011/con...

Here's another link where several Dodge Challengers have experienced broken timing chains on their 5.7 HEMIs with less than 40K miles. Their hunch is a thinner, cheaper chain (possibly made in china?) is being used on certain 5.7s and it will snap prematurely and ruin the engine.

http://www.challengertalk.com/forums/f188/tim...

These are just a couple examples of how Dodge/Chrysler is doing it with smoke and mirrors. They sell you on sex appeal of slick looks and high HP, but the foundation is built with cheap, crap parts that fail way too soon. You can tie a ribbon around a turd and it may look pretty, but it still smells like a turd.

Buying Dodge/Chrysler is not necessarily buying "American". Some Honda and Toyota vehicles are made with more U.S. parts than Dodge/Chrysler. With the Dodge Journey being made in Mexico with mostly foreign parts, it's safe to say that by buying a Dodge Journey one would be mostly supporting Mexicans and other foreign parts manufacturers. Although the American workers at the Dodge dealership where the Journey will be spending many hours of troubleshooting will be supported ($) by charging the Journey owner for repairs that will not be covered under warranty.

Hard working Americans deserve a quality vehicle for their money, not a bunch of shrugs and excuses from Dodge dealership service managers saying they can't duplicate the problem and there is nothing that can be done to fix your vehicle. "It's normal for this type of vehicle." B.S.

Buy Dodge/Chrysler at your own risk. Long term quality & reliability are a crap shoot more so than with other manufacturers.

Because they have lazy union designers that have little or no talent, Chrysler knows this, and continues to drag thier feet in getting rid of them. $100,000 a year and they can't even design a fastener. I'm talking about Chassis designers, body designers seem to be very good.

Read all this up there and this is what you get:

"my american car sucks donkey balls because it has always failed me and broken so early" (actual experience)

And

"no it's not" (asshole)

Why 'support' your neighbour if he is making you drive a piece of junk? Ok well I'll move next door to you and fuck your wife and you can thank me and say you're supporting your countrymen. Demand and support quality and you will set the bar high. It works with children, it should work with adults too. Don't you remember you people are supposed to be adults? When somthing is being done wrong, do something about it. Get those shitty american companies to improve. Your money deserves better. Those $35,000 didnt drip out of your ass. You worked hard for that shit.

Chrysler ranks the lowest in customer satisfaction of all American made automobiles.

I've owned Chrysler automobiles in the past(Dodge, Plymouth and Chrysler), older models and brand new ones. The older ones were simple cars with durable engins and transmissions and CHEAP interiors. The bodies and chassis' rusted even in mild climates though. The newer Chrysler products I've owned were from the 90' and 2000's. They were JUNK! Transmission failure was a mainstay, warping brakes, electronic glitches and CHEAP, poorly constructed interiors failing, not too mention the crappy peeling paint and cronic oil sludge in my Intrepids' 2.5 V6: JUNK, JUNK, JUNK!

All Chrysler can pass off now is retro-grade crap. Charger and Challenger are high horsepower clown cars at best; Jeep, ICK! Everything in the Chrysler arena is SO undesirable.

Is there any reason why German and Japanese cars are in such high demand? People demand quality! That's something Chrysler never heard of, ever!

Please I've never been amused by armchair quarterbacks who think they know everything. Chrysler has done quite a bit for the industry, CEO's & presidents and the workers are the problem not the cars!
Unless you drive a product made by Chrysler your words are pointless. Go buy it and then have a opinion about it!!! Otherwise go fishing. I'm for America and its people and its companies!

Chrysler has a long history of building crap cars especially at BAP. No on cares about building a good car they care about the numbers that will never change........that's why we have no hope for future products and the plant is done in 2015, so keep put the silicone on them and bypass the errors great job BAP !!!!!!
