1. Because they have dumb engineers?
2. Because they have lazy workers?
3. Because they use cheap parts?
4. Because they don't care?

ALL THE ABOVE

wakeup...why would you even post this? Are you affiliated with Chrysler? We don't build "crap". I've driven Chrysler products all my life, long before I ever worked for Chrysler. I did warranty at a dealership for 23 years, before I worked for Chrysler. ALL brands have a bug or two...occaisionally...one just can't be fixed to satisfy a customer...occaisionally, you get a customer that can't be satisfied no mater what you do...I repeat, ALL brands have problems...they are machines. Overall, Chrysler products are sweet, tight, stylish vehicles to own! Who cares what Consumer Reports thinks, I'll make up my own mind.

All automakers are hurting. Daimler took our cash, and we had it to burn, then went on a spending spree to buy entities that they didn't need or didn't get any return on investment. Shopped what was left to Cerberus, who had no business trying to run an auto company. Actually, because we do have great products, is why we are still here.

You got to be kidding me. Consumer Report matters to the buyer more than any Chrysler employee's opinion. Poll the american consumer to rank car manufacturer by quality. They will start with either Toyota or Honda as #1. Chrysler will be rated as near if not the last. This is why chrysler has failed and will soon be replaced by Fiat cars and employees.

Consumer Reports is a bought and paid for entity by Automanufacturers, whom ever 'donates' the most gets the 'pass'. The Harbour reports and JD Powers is more reliable than a favored/biased survey. Also people who buy American/B3 vehicles tend to give better input on the surveys, where Toyota, Nissan buyers tend to have narcissitic view points and tend not to give-up the whole story of their products....If you believe what you have is the best, then your survey result will reflect that. People that I have known over the years have proven that theory, they believe everything they own is better that your stuff, and this is a very common trait of a Toyota owner.

Sadly I believe that JD Powers and the Harbour reports are corrupt much like the consumer reports. Hard to get an unbiased opinion.

The only unreliable Chrysler car I've had was made by Mitsubishi in Japan! The American made ones were mostly trouble free.

Consumer Reports, etal...another form of paid advertising. Feel free to network with actual people who own and can afford products...any product...I don't need someone to tell me how to spend and invest my money. Notice I said "can afford"? All you people looking for a cheap way out have cost this country 10 fold...think about it.

Yeah that's it Joe Dirt and KAR blame the results of every notable survey out there as being wrong. While you're at it consider the consumers themself as being biased against the product. That will really sell a lot of cars. Look if it was only a problem of preception, reality would have corrected the problem prior to the Fiat take over. However, the reality is Chrysler made an inferior product for decades and continues to do so. Who know what will happen once Fiat replaces the lines with their own models.
