It's silly to even speculate a signing bonus considering the contract isn't even officially in negotiations.

Analyst concerned over big 3 survival with increase fuel costs.

What will rising fuel cost do to turnarounds in detroit. While GM and Ford have manh of the new fuel efficient models on the show room, Chrysler has been pouring money into desperately needed product. With nearly 5 billion tied up in new product, the balance sheet won't fair so well if the market drops up. Insiders have leaked that there is concern if levels drop below 90,000 units monthly that the bills will starts piling up. We just can't handle that low level with the money being put into new product. It is a large gamble because the product is our future.
Some have said the uaw will take help make up the short fall, while Ford is tne likely candidate for the years contract negotiation, Chrysler has reported that it will not ease up on its cost savings demands from the uaw. We have a lot of work to make this a sustainable company.

Wow what more can we give, I wish these analyst would get in our shoes for once

Tier one will never take a pay cut, we will work on bringing Tier Two people's wages up to our pay rate! It will be over my dead body that I take a pay cut. This means no way in HELL is this going to happen. Bring it on.

I expect the new contract to pretty much eliminate senority and classifications all together. Oh wait i work at W.T.A.P! It's already happened....the u.a.w. is dead thanks to regional and international. It takes regional years to handle simple greivences o.t.. why would a supervisor care about safety or screwing you over. International just takes our money and screws us out of vacation time and defers to management on every issuse thats come up. Iam sorry boys but I think its a rap

Management has already said only way cola is coming back is if everyone agrees to take the tier2 wage. Top tier is done getting pretty much anything. Cat has really deep pockets and is in less of a competitive market. I would love to see a contract like cats. I just don't see it happening though. Hopefully I am retired by the time my wages have been surpassed by everyone elses.
