Wow there has been a lot of chatter in the last few days. From what I read (google it in the toledo blade) the hiring process appears that it will be continous through spring/summer. Many parts of this process are random I believe. Also keep in mind its almost christmas. I haven't seen any new posted abt scheduled assessments past next week and people that took the assessment are still waiting to hear. We all are in 1 phase or another of the waiting/hiring process. Patience is the key here, its like watching water boil eventually. Fingers crossed for you all.
my assessment is the 22nd. This is usually the last business day for jeep unless they plan to work through the holidays.

<quoted text> it's 120 calender days and they will be watching closely. Remember, in those 120 days you have no union representation so they can fire you at any time and the union can't help you get your job back. Also, the ones who start in Jan will have much harder jobs and less options. Better to come in when the new car comes, there are tons of good jobs. If you have not got an email saying that they are not considering you then you are pretty much still in the running, be patient.
I was hoping to be called later in the process for that reason.

Do any of you went to Quest Diagnostics - Toledo Ohio for drug testing? I was just wondering if this location supports the use of an electronic chain of custody?? Thanks!

For anyone that could'nt schedule the assessment. It's true they post the date at midnight because my husband just scheduled his. So it does fill up fast. Set your alarm for 12am if you're not a night owl. I have been reading everyones comments and thought I would let you know! Have faith and I wish you the best
My email came at 841 am and i didnt read it until 100 pm and i scheduled. They must be more efficient now.

I hear what your saying about the hard jobs in January but wont most of us get bumped out of our jobs onto 2nd shift on a different job anyways? Also, wont January hires have senority and first choice of jobs before the new hires that come in later after the job freeze in a year?

If ur bumbled to second you can still be on the same side which is the wrangler side. You don't get seniority until you are officially hired which is 120 days. The other group should be working by then, but yes you will have more time if you get hired. There will probably only be a couple hundred ppl going there, versus over a thousand for the other side. Good thing, you will have more seniority once hired, sucky thing is its a lot harder and long hours and will be 6 days 10 hrs a day. Sounds like good money but it gets old after a while. Not many go to wrangler because of that reason which is why there are openings.

In the end both sides will be working crazy hours, so there is a lot of money to be made.

I took my assesment 4 weeks ago today. Following the assesment I was told we would be notified in 3-4 weeks should I be worried? Has anyone else heard anything that did their assesment the first week?

Nah no worries. Just a guess but i think all that have assessed should hear something by next Friday. They seem to keep doing assessments every week so besides the holiday break it looks like they are making progress. I am sure there is a cut off for January start selection but maybe that will be in January. I am guessing some of us will be held over for start in the spring or whenever the next wave of new hires will be brought in.

Good luck to you! My husband goes on the 17th and I go on the 19th, fingers crossed for you. It does lead me to wonder is the 22nd the last day to assess for the holiday season.
