They are your UAW brothers and sisters. Why not welcome them and make the best of a bad situation that you have no control over. You owe a big thanks to the worthless UAW.

UAW will still be around in 10 years. International will not die that easy, of course there won't be any good jobs other than international.

transfer of operations? showing up at SSP....a group of twenty on the 30th.. so far a bunch of Hi-low drivers that have been on that code for 18 years, and overhead crane operators. No jobs created as of yet. Definitely not ones that these guys had either. Does anyone have Troy Davis's address? Hmm. What about General Holiefield's?

relax our jobs are coming. what i cant understand with the people at SSP? We are all union, we all need the comapany to survive. We are from ohio and you are from michigan.

We dont want to be there. we dont want to uproot our families and leave our friends. this is very tough and i would think that you would welcome us coming in. it means more jobs which helps with job security. were not aliens, we have been in a stamping plant, most of us for 15 years or better. were not new hires and were not just out of high school.

some of us have worked when OSHA was a joke and we were just told to do it or get fired. None of us are coming up there with attitudes or expectations of taking or knocking you out of your jobs.

we had people transfer from detroit, indiana, and everywhere else. they get in where they fit in. we know that. for once on this board i would like to see someone say," were glad to have you and if you need any help just let me know".

i have to beleive that the people who post the BS on this board are just a few bitter workers who are just big baby's. we have them at twinsburg too.

bottom line is were coming and we are giving up a lot to follow a job that might not be there in a year? i would ask that the people of SSP accept the fact just like we did when they said we were closing. put yourself in our shoes and think about if you had to move and give up everything you have made for yourself there in michigan.

i know our international has not been very good here lately or at all, we can't get any info and they lie to us every chance they get. i dont trust them, but i know the people of SSP are just like me, hard working, loyal, and deticated to your family. we are all working for the same cause, to retire and have a pension. thank you

If they where date of entry just like most of the people up here from this job market they would be embraced and welcomed. The fact is We couldn't get enough of them then. Seniority is everything here though, and it is what defines our job security, shift preference and ability to win bids on job postings. Right now people are worried about their job security here.

I don't beleive that any of us coming are going to force any of you to the street. You need the help up there and when our jobs do get there, you will need even more. Yes, we are coming with our time, but we can't just walk in an bump people off their jobs? We have every right under the contract and transfer of operations to come with our time. Our plant is closing and that is another way we can bring our time. I understand your concern for senority, but i have earned my time and have every right to keep it. Im sorry that some of you feel the way you do, but not even the 50,000 that i will get can make it any better to leave my family. So i will be there, with my high seniority and my friends and do the best we can.
