<quoted text>yes, it was underfunded to begin with and when Sergio buys the shares he will lowball them. One more year and i'll have medacare and i've been looking in on prices on a suppliment insurance to fill the void. Lets face it, pensions and life long insurance is gone for future retirees like the dinosaurs.
You do understand that part of our (active workers) givebacks go into the VEBA, so there is money every week coming into the VEBA, just saying

<quoted text>the plan has $9,442,347,634 in assets and uses $685,224,370 in expenses. The plan brings in a total of $136,510,951 in paticipant contributions and other gains. Plus insurance rates rise double digits each year. So the plan is running a deficeit of $548,713,419 a year. There is another problem, that the amount of $9,442,347,634 is $6,920,089,751 is in the stock. So really only $2,522,257,883 is in the plan at the moment. If Sergio lowballs the price, the plan will not get $6.9 billion in the plan.
one word, Medicare, most will be old enough to get medicare so your insurance, aka VEBA will be secondary, i'm sure before too long we will get a set amount to spend in an healthcare account, and buy what you want with it, that will give them "fixed" cost certainty

i believe this will happen for active as well as retiree workers, example, say they put $8,000 in your healthcare account, costs go up for a yearly BCBS costs say $8,700, you pay the differance, alot of companies are going this route to get cost certainty for themselves

<quoted text>most of the retirees are on medicare now, i'll be on it less than a year. It still costing the VEBA $687 MILLION to run it. In a years time the copay doubled from $570 to $1100 with the out-of pocket amount maxinum. And the copay will go up each year untill this insurance is worthless to a retire who is under 65
If I were you I would be more concerned about Medicare. For some reason you think health and pension won't be there, but you think Medicare will be.

Why have we spent Billions of Bucks since the 1950's defending South Korea, so they can send cars over here and put us out of work?

Why did the unions over in Germany recently decline to support the UAW's efforts to organize the Volkswagon Plant in the U.S.A.?..... WE are being HOSED.com .... After spending Trillions of Bucks defending them against the commies. These two political parties in the U.S.of A. have sold us out.
