Does anyone have any reliable information concerning the rumors of consolidating several of the PDC's? There is too much talk, something is happening.

As we have found out in the StLouis complex (assembly),you will probably be the last to know,it will be in an announcement on the news or papers. Anything else you hear is just rumours. Hang tough

Just stumbled upon this, I work in a Canadian PDC. THe rumor we have heard is 3 Canadian PDC's closed, 6 US PDC and a National closed. I do know they have already they called all the PDC managers together last week. We have heard from our union the company will not do anything in Canada until they take care of the US.

If they close a PDC and the work goes to another PDC then the workers from the closed PDC have an opportunity to follow his/her job with seniority right? This is what i was told in the past.
O wait maybe they will just Idle the PDC no close it

We were told that mopar pdc system can not compete against competition. The HR guy said if this is old Chrysler they would never close all the depots down just down size and layoff at each location. Cerberus is looking for a quick savings and return. If they own the property they want to sell it. They said Vancouver alone they can save $5 million a year. Also no closure agreements have been offered. The last we heard is our contract is up and they do not have to give buyouts or anything else. As of Nov 30 we are gone no money no top up of uninsurance benefits.

One would assume (usa )if your pdc closes...you would have rights to go with sen to an opening at any facility in the US ( assmebly, pdc whatever).Of course they fill those by sen corp wide..So it would depend on your sen . If they idle it you go with 91 days...I dont know your sen but in stl we will have guys with 25 plus years going on lay off oct 31. good luck
