As the owner of the domain www.UAWTalk.com and previous ADMIN of the forum, I'll answer your question:

The hosting service that I used for the UAWTalk forum went downhill over the years in terms of speed/bandwidth and also uptime. I tried many times for the host to sell me the original source files from the forum so I could move it to a more reliable hosting service, but failed in every attempt. I even tried to get other hosting companies to rip the site, but legally they couldn't do it.

My reason for starting the forum years ago was to have a place that employees of Chrysler & suppliers could anonymously share information using the internet.

Many have used this Topix forum for sometime now to do exactly what my previous UAWTalk forum did. At this point I'm not sure if I care to start another forum from scratch, but until I decide I've forwarded all UAWTalk traffic to this Topix Chrysler forum for others to use. Since I do not own or operate this Topix forum, I am not legally responsible for any post other than my own.

I'd like to give special thanks to all of you who shared information on the previous UAWTalk forum over the years. I'd like to see this Topix forum grow with users and useful information about our daily survival in this business we call the auto industry.

Take care & God bless,

Brian Laws - Chrysler Employee on Temp Assignment at KEP

Sorry to hear that Brian, I had fun posting over there. I even tried to call you a few times to let you know it was being shut down. Hopefully this forum can cover what is needed, but it will never have the same feel that the UAWTALK forums did. Thank you again for all the work you put into it.
