i think that there is some discrimination going on here. if you get a closed plant status you get corporate senority but if i get transfered, all i get is plant senority starting at day one. yes,,,,i think corporate senority should transfer with each employee when transfered to another plant.

I believe it does as long as the transfers original plant has closed.

Answer is obvioisly no or else you would.all transfers that agreed to take chryslers money and relocate without their senority knew that was the deal.you all sound like little bitches like the people that took the buyout and now feel wronged.quitting would be a good suggestion if you can't deal with the facts of life.a new hire would kill to have your hourly wage and actual real union representation.look on the bright side and be thankful for the things you do have.

You must be a TEMP who pays half the amount in monthly dues as a real U.A.W. member. A Temp that has maybe a year of seniority. A Temp that has never seen a profit sharing check. A Temp that has terrible benefits. And you think that I should get the left overs you better prey that when all of us get there that you still have a job. Have you ever heard of a 61d application to displace. You will when I show it to you and then tell you to get off my job that you have been doing. BYE, BYE, BYE, to all you Temps at BAP

....And why do u say...'dude, u got a job?', why do you say that? What does that have to do with our corporation hire date? When you hired in at Wendy's, did you keep your first day of work date? or did they send you to another Wendy's across town, and you had to start your seniority over on that day that they sent you over to the other Wendy's because they needed you more over at that one flipping burgers rather than the one that you initially hired in at? Wait, I'm sorry...wrong analogy. Wendy's is a franchise isn't it? Chrysler is not. That makes all the difference in the world now doesn't it? We work for a company that is worldwide. You work for a company that is individually owned. I'm sorry. I was misinforming you at first. Nevermind buddy!

I may pay "half" of what you do in monthly dues numerically, but I pay the same percentage of my income and I get NOTHING in return for my money. The fact that you are bragging about taking someones job shows what kind of person you really are and I think that is just sad.

Only if skilled trades are no longer able to work production. Seems to me, since the 2007 agreement allowing them to do production work at their full skilled trades wages, there has been a push to gain even more. Currently they are not allowed to carry dual seniority and if they are laid off and get picked up to do production work they have to go in date of entry. There is no way a tradesman should be able to carry dual seniority in both production and trades.
