<quoted text> took drug test and physical on Monday. Received job offer the following day. Have orientation 10/26
could you let us know how many people at orientation and if you can find out if they are going to hire more people. Are you going to be full or part-time?

I sure can. I did read somewhere on the forum that they won't be hiring again until January. But I will still ask. I asked for full time, but was given part time. I hoping hoping for the opportunity to go full time down the line.

You should call 866-428-9904 and make sure it wasn't a problem with the test such as them losing it or something. Everyone I've heard from says that it takes a couple days to process test and that's why the email comes two days after test. Basically letting u know u passed and are still in process to be hired
I called candidate care about 1 week after I took the test, so I know they have it all they said was watch my email closely!! I wish they weren't so vauge! I'm just praying that email doesn't get "lost"!! I watch it every single day!

wonder why all those people walked off the job. are the jobs that hard or labor intensive. from what i've seen, it's repetitive work.

well the biggest problem is most the people in there are young and never worked on a line before and for some there first job. another problem there are having at sterling stamping and warren stamping is fighting(yes fighting)because the young immature new hires are mad that the older workers are making more $ than them and some are taking offense to people thats trying to help them.the jobs are not hard to someone who wants to work and support a family BUT you do have some bad areas in the plant thats more phyiscally demanding but after you get some good shoes and over the first days body aches you are good

I think people are drawn in with the idea of a great job and really underestimate the work and hours that these people have to do daily. Then when they get down to the real work, its a culture shock. I personally think that alot of the people that get in know its like the golden ticket and dont think twice about it until they are on the line. I dont really think there is any way to prepare for it, there really is no other job like it.

Thanks for the insight, good to know. I have a family myself so you wont catch me fighting. I will just have my headphones or earplugs in focusing on my job. Just sad because down the road those people might regret it.

Ok. So you are saying Sergio Marchionne, who is the CEO of 3 companies, will focus energy on getting rid of seniority? Sure he will. The financial situation in Europe and Chryslers return from bankruptcy and the poor economy here and the slew of new product launches that will be happening the next few years and he will try to change seniority? You do realize how unimportant that is in the grand scheme of things? It won't even be on the table.

Thanks for the encouragement. Do you think there was alot of them that got hired fulltime? What do you think was the hardest thing about it that you think caused that many to walk out, just not for them?
