So do I have to ask the UAW not to lay me off? Does the UAW eliminate shifts now? Do we strike the UAW, if so then let's get it on!
You don't get the strike chit until 2015. You should have taken the buyout you don't deserve to have this UNION job.

90 per cent of the people that work at walmart are eligible for welfare. That cost more than an auto bailout

Found it on detnews Fiat starts in the new company with a 20 percent stake in the partnership. According to bankruptcy court documents, the U.S. government owns 9.85 percent; Canada owns 2.46 percent; and a United Auto Workers retiree health care trust fund gets a 67.69 percent stake. Fiat can eventually increase its stake to 35 percent.
So will the UAW be able to pay the pensioners with dividends or will it have to slowly sell off it's interest in the company to make payments?

UAW already said a month ago they have no intention of keeping their 55% stake in the company. They said it would be sold to fund the veba account.

Yep, and if they made $28 an hour you would be on here bitching about they do not work hard enough to make that much and everything cost to much at Wal-Mart. You can't have it both ways!

The point is that when walmart enployees draw assistance from the government it never ends. You pay for low prices but your taxes pay for welfare.

The union was calling the trades people yesterday. They are bringing in a partial crew next week to get ready for startup of production on the 29th.They also notified us that the starting times for skilled trades have been changed effective the 29th.The only trades people on 2nd shift will be there for firewatch.Everything else on 2nd shift is blacked out.So if nothing changes it looks like production will be starting back on june 29th with everyone on days
